Why does Luke Walton still have a job in Sacramento?

No idea... they are the one franchise that kept us from being the absolute worst franchise of the 2010’s

The Warriors also got walloped today... There've been some crazy lopsided victories recently.

wouldn't want to have to pay two coaches to coach the worst franchise in the league.

One could coach offense and one could coach defense. ;)

This thread seems like as good a place to put this as any, and you can jump the next few paragraphs if you're in a hurry. TL;DR - the San Antonio Spurs, surprisingly, are the only team left in the NBA that still has a chance to get at least one win against every other NBA team this season.
Super interesting. That feels right, as the Spurs are boring but consistently give good effort, so it.makes sense to me that they'd have at least some success against almost every other team in the league.

Yep, they may be last team standing but no way they complete it.
Sure enough, Spurs lost to Miami last night, so the Heat sweep that season series and everybody's out of the running for that particular feat for this season.

Definitely an interesting stat though and it's surprising that the Spurs were the last team standing especially with their average overall record.

His stat line is impressive. None of that Lou Dort nonsense.

He was a great pickup by Houston. Cleveland gave up a ton to get him, knew what they were getting personality-wise and then after some trouble, basically gave him away for free. They should have been more patient.

His childhood sounded rough and he got booted from USC. Apparently that was for using cannabis, but UCS just claimed "conduct issues".

He has All-Star talent, but I think he'll either be a good-stats-bad-team player or the right coach/organization gets through to him. The latter will take a bit of time and it's a pretty risky path to give a guy like him responsibility to lead a team in the future.

I think it's more likely he's a JR Smith-type. An elite role player on good nights, but is prone to costly mistakes.

Thanks. I get him mixed up with the guy in Denver. Wasn't really aware of this guy coming out of college or even more recently. I remember seeing flashes when we played Houston though.

That’s all pretty fair and you’re probably right. Great gamble for Houston to take, though, considering where they are in the standings and with John Lucas on the staff.

The other possibility is that he continues to be a brilliant talent but blows up chemistry wherever he goes. Tho the Cleveland episode might not have entirely been his fault. He certainly overreacted but they also didn’t seem to give him much help.

Other than Johntay Porter, all the other Porters in the league are juniors. Otto, Michael, and Kevin.

If Pete Porter has a son, does he name him Repeat RePorter, Jr?
