I like the new uni a lot although the font is not great (not as bad as the new Dallas jersey, tho).

I like it, but it does seem too close to nuggs/jazz ones. And like Ring said, the "Valley" font sucks.

Doesn’t seem like the suns would put him in that tweet if they were considering trading him

I love the new jersey! Can’t wait to buy a Booker one. Not calling you guys old but there does appear to be a dividing line based on age from the takes I’ve seen around da web.

A lot of us have been posting here for a couple of decades and got old. I am ok with the jersey. They need a whole new crop of jerseys every year so we will keep buying new jerseys. I’m due for a new one. My newest Suns jersey is a Sean Marion jersey. He’s a retired old guy some of you young people might not remember.

I wonder how many suns fans these days remember KJ or Barkley (the latter in his playing days - not tnt).

This crowd isn't exactly young. We don't have much in the way of new blood on phx-suns.net.

The folks that run the socials are not tied into the bball ops group like that.

It depends on the team/org...they may give a heads up to BOps and say "we're using so and so in this campaign/feature" to see if it's an issue. BOps may say "hold off, something's brewing". Something like a jersey reveal, you'd hope marketing would check with BOps to make sure there's nothing imminent with Oubre, even tho things can change. The digital/social team usually spends time with the coaches/players as much as anyone so they're pretty looped in on most things. With the Suns you just never know. We haven't exactly been a shining example of how to do things so they very well could've just gone with Oubre because he was in town and available and BOps may turn around and trade him in a month.

yeah, based on the interviews I have heard/read with the social group, it doesn't seem like the suns are very connected across their groups.

I don't think the people who run the twitter account know who is on the trading block. It's not like he's in the doghouse and the org has been told to pretend he's not a Sun.

Fair enough to all that say the social teams aren’t connected. It does seem to me like someone in the know would have had the opportunity to say, “hey maybe use Booker here.” But then that’s how rumors could spread as the social media team doesn’t have the same incentive to keep things like that quiet.

exactly. i think the risk is higher to try and interfere.

I remember the day we traded for J-Rich. The main webpage for Suns season tickets had a side banner of Raja Bell answering the phone to take your call to buy tickets...

“The name that keeps popping up when you talk to people is Kelly Oubre,” Friedell said Wednesday on “The Jump.” “Can they get him in? What would they have to give up? They have the trade exception for Andre Iguodala as well that expires here in a little bit.”

Do they have anything to offer? Outside of their big three, whom would we want?
