2 big shots by Mikal and Ayton, but we need to stop Kyrie…really wish we had Okogie right now

Kyrie was like 2 for 13 last I looked. Now he can't miss.

Can't we make a change, Saben can't defend Kyrie .. .put Mikal on him ... also why isn't D Wash playing?

Wash would get hunted mercilessly by Kyrie…not that it mattered, he torched everyone

Nearly blew it .. another 4th where Ayton gets frozen out of touching the ball on offence. ... scary finish.. no one could take it to the hole in first half of the quarter while Kyrie was doing what he wanted.

I would not say Ayton got frozen out…he got lots of touches…he just missed shots

They really should have been feeding Ayton the ball in the post the last several possessions. Instead they choose to dribble out the clock and take forced shots at the end of the shot clock.

I was thinking about Wash for the start of the quarter end of 3rd when we were just taking bad jumpers everywhere

They were trying…it’s not always easy to get the ball into the post against a zone

Exactly. It’s also on Ayton to not establish position so far away as it increases the pass risk.

Without the two closers, this is how they’ll have to win every game.

Yeah, he shouldn't establish himself in the paint, he should be out at the top of the key so it's a shorter pass...what???

If you want the ball, you go get the ball.

There’s too many people lurking around when they are playing zone…he’s gotta come get it in the center of the zone.

Fracking Monty at it again. First he wants him to take advantage of smaller defenders in the paint, then he expects DA to adjust to the defenses thrown at him! INSANE!

Ayton with 6/4/3 in 5:38.
Ayton had a great first half. I made sure to pay close attention to his 2nd half as he often wilts there and it wasn’t pretty but he made a couple big plays down the stretch. He’s gotta start hitting his free throws. He can’t be going 0-2 from the line.
