Paul can’t hit shit. Good thing we didn’t need it.
He’s having such a weird season. Think we really need to find a way to keep him rested. Need a backup pg that can take the load off him and let Book/Mikal take on the brunt of the offense.

I’d sit him out in b2b as well. Shut him down a week before the playoffs too. I might even bench him in the playoffs if we have a lead and just keep him ready for the stretch if we need it.
Payne is so utterly undependable.
He was having a decent season but I don’t think we know if he’s even going to be healthy again this season. We need a backup point at the deadline

Ayton giving me some hope he’s gonna be a player for us down the stretch and in the playoffs.

I just hope he's still playing like this for 2 weeks straight.

Also, if we have a couple injury replacements in the west all star roster, I think I’m on team Mikal over Book. Book obviously better, but it would be nice to reward Mikal for how he’s kept us afloat. His numbers aren’t all star quality, but they have been the last month and they are comparable to JJJ on significantly more minutes.

Maybe we can get every opponent to wear the Pistons uniforms. Then Ayton will be the player I expect him to be.
Is it the Pistons or is it Mat Ishbia? When Ishbia is courtside, Ayton is averaging 27.5 points and 15.0 rebounds.

I really hope Mikal keeps this energy when Book comes back.
We should stagger them…usually Mikal and Book match minutes but I’d take Mikal out a little earlier and bring him back in when Book sits at the start of the 2nd/4th.
Gotta keep your best defender on the floor against their best scorer though. His defense is too important to stagger him for his offensive game.
Ya that’s a good point…but if we had OG we could do it

I like the Pistons broadcast crew.
So do I--when starting the third quarter they said, "Perhaps the Suns should be going to Ayton like they did in that first half in more of their games." ;)
I heard that and you’ll never guess who I thought of.

Ayton should destroy this team.
And he did. I just finished watching the game. Before I read through the posts, let me just say that was Ayton's most complete game of the season. That's a guy I'm happy to pay the max to. And the Paul/Ayton connection is getting good. I hope they can continue that.

The guys sure seem to like playing for their new boss, Ishbia, who was in the house. The whole family decked out in Suns gear. I watched the Piston's broadcast tonight. I'm wondering if everybody saw Mateen Cleaves in a brand new Suns shirt. He's definitely going to be involved. Let's hope he knows what he's doing and he doesn't mess things up.

I hate to bag on Craig because he’s really a 9th man being forced to start, but I kinda cringe everytime he does anything other than catch and shoot or crash the glass.
You picked the wrong game, dude. He was solid and was nailing his 3s tonight.

When Ayton's too dominant, Monty always punishes him by benching him for extremely long amounts of time.
Not tonight.

I did say I was cool with him catch and shooting haha. He just had like back to back cringey plays trying to do too much. One he threw it away trying to find a teammate(Think he did twice) and another he attacked and put up a weird shot when I thought he should’ve just given it to Ayton.

I didn't watch the game closely, but the Pistons defense in these clips is atrocious.
