I finally figured out what this reminds me of: Chucky Brown, Mark Bryant, Robert Horry, and Sam Cassell. Only worse. And that was with a trade demand.

My gut is that I don't think we have a better shot at winning the title this season than we did 2 hours ago and I think our chances might be worse.
Suns got deeper and a C who will buy in, I disagree. The Suns C rotation is fine and they can now just throw shooter after shooter at you. KD/Book/Beal/Gordon/Allen/Shuta is A LOT of perimeter firepower.

I would be shocked, as I’ve said before, if Grayson Allen ever plays a single game for a James Jones led team.

This pretty much confirms to me that either Ayton was done with Phoenix or we were just done with him. It’s not great value, but probably just a move we needed to do. We’ll cross our fingers Nurkic stays healthy and maybe 1 of these other guys provides something.

I really don’t like Grayson Allen.

We got that vaunted Blazers center rotation we've always wanted!

Ayton was never our championship or bust piece though. It’s not up to him. It’ll be up to Book/KD/Beal

If so, what are we getting for him? He's probably the most dependable player we got in the trade.

It could have been up to him but he didn't seem to have the heart or drive for it.

Allen is like a slightly better Shamet…he’s somewhat useful but not sure he has a place with EG here. If we can package Allen/Johnson for someone else…that would be great. Would fix the roster crunch too…assuming we waive Ish

I think us fans were more attached to the potential Ayton brings from one game to the next than his teammates and Suns staff were. I don’t find fault in the trade in spite my disappointment. Nurk will be better than most of what you wrist cutters expect. Eubanks, Little I think will play well off the bench.

I liked the idea to trade him to Utah where he fits.

Giannis-Dame is about as great of a 1-2 punch as you could put together.

Little is also locked in at $6-7mil/year thru 26-27, which will help considering Okogie, KBD and Yuta are all on 1 yr deals. He may end up the 5th starter/core piece on a cheap deal. And just 23 with 4 years in the league already.

I live in Portland so I will still have to watch plenty of Ayton. He’ll probably play well with the Blazers and their line. It wasn’t gonna happen here for him.

That’s not what y’all were saying two months ago.
