Ya Miami makes some sense. He can replace Meyers Leonard.

Would you guys have interest in Javale as a buyout guy? He’d be an easier fit to where we’d just say, hey you might play a few minutes here and there, but no locked in rotation minutes.
Dave King threw out Whiteside. I like that option significantly more.

I don't think McGee is a Jones type. I also think if we're relying on him, we've already lost.
What would it take to get Whiteside? He’s on a minimum deal, there’s really no reason for Sacramento to buy him out. What would you give up?

I’d take Whiteside over McGee too, but McGee is probably easier to acquire.

The Kings have had severe issues all season, and Whiteside hasn't been part of the solution. I'm not saying he's a bonehead like his earlier years, but it's rather telling that he had to sign a minimum deal after the numbers he put up in Portland last year. Or the fact that he went from a 30+ mpg guy to almost single digits immediately after Nurkic came back. I don't really want a guy like that coming off the bench for this team. McGee also had that bonehead label earlier in his career but I think the 3 title runs in the last 4 years helped mature him a lot. He might not be as strong as Whiteside but he's just as athletic if not more and a similar level shot blocker.

In both situations they’re just a 3rd string C. A body to throw at Jokic in case Ayton is in foul trouble.

I don't want Whiteside anywhere near DeAndre Ayton.

You think McGee isn't a Jones guy? Well Whiteside certainly isn't either.

He is barely an NBA guy anymore.

After much consideration, I decided it wasn't right to make you guys look at the Sarver picture anymore and decided to change my avatar to one of my favorite Suns instead.

Assuming good health for everyone, the Suns are clearly behind the Lakers and Nets this season. They'd also likely be underdogs against Utah, Denver and the Clippers. I just want them to get some good playoff reps this year and the FO make good decisions in the summer based on how the young guys performed.
The problem is that huge part of the Suns success is a player over 35. So the window is small here. You can't be content with just getting playoff reps in hopes to building towards a champion. You just don't have the pieces to do that. Once Father Time hits Chris Paul with a reality check, you are left with Booker and a bunch of role players.

But just looking at this season, regardless of who might be favored, the Suns can beat the Nuggets, Clippers, and Jazz.

I'd also add Bridges and maybe Payne to that group. At this point Bridges feels like a Marion type third wheel.
That is an insult to Shawn Marion. Marion was essentially good for 20/10 any night of the week.

I don't know, his shooting/cutting/defense are all borderline great. He's our Shane Battier. Super glue guy. Gluperstar if you will.
I think Battier is a closer comparison, but Bridges is better. Battier < Bridges < Marion

To me Bridges is a better shooter and defender than Marion. Marion more productive offensively and better rebounder. Both role players that will probably be overpaid for what they offer - but you have no choice if you want to keep them. Bridges needs to show consistency night in and out though to ultimately be on Shawn’s level
