I think you’re seeing just how players still feel about Sarver. His shit head reputation is still lingering. As the 2 seed players should be lining up to finish the season in Phoenix but they simply aren’t.
I honestly don't think Jones is interested in changing things up.

I remember the media getting all excited about the 2004 Lakers too. Shaq, Kobe, Malone, Payton and Grant and that team fell flat on their face.
That team made it to the Finals and lost when Malone had to sit out with an injury. They never lost a series at full strength.
There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

This is how I feel about it as well. Sure they'd have welcomed a buyout guy who was eager to join the team, but I don't think they were ever really trying to get someone.

Maybe it'll be a complacent mistake, but I'd quickly push back on anyone who thinks someone like McGee, LMA or Deing would be the missing piece to a championship.

Kinda wanted Dieng, Well lets hope for a Whiteside buyout.
Highly doubt Jones would be interested in bringing in Whiteside.

I don’t understand SA cut Aldridge then pick up Dieng because they are in a playoff hunt. Makes no sense to me. It’s like they just want to help the Nets
Aldridge's relationship with the Spurs had really deteriorated. He wanted out for awhile. On the court, he just is a shell of his former self. His 3 ball is better, but just about every other facet of his game has gone down. He is more of a liability on the defensive end, lackluster on the boards, and his quickness/athleticism is all but gone.

He can still contribute, but it just isn't what the Spurs needed.

Dieng is younger and generally more active. He has going to rebounder better, defend the rim better, and finish better.

Now they gonna run post ups for Blake n LMA and take the ball out of Beard hands ?!?!
Lol, no.

Both of those guys will just be role players. Yeah, Claxton has been nice now that he is back from injury, but I don't blame the Nets for adding some talent on the cheap.

I don't think that anyone will argue any of those guys is the difference between winning it all or not winning it all, but I think Dieng easily makes the Suns a more complete team. McGee is more insurance than anything else, versus a team like Denver or Utah.

This is silly. Chriss is in the final year of his contract, fractured his right fibula, and is likely done for the year. None of these moves have anything to do with him as a player.

Why did they acquire him (Chriss) if he was injured and unable to play? Was it cap shenanigans?

Watching Westbrook more often than not I'm left shaking my head at his decision making and I know how people feel about his triple double accomplishments over the years but this is some stat line
I might even watch the 2nd half for lil context but Wow

Oh and this was against Pacers who we've seen play some decent D

It's so strange to me that Scott Skiles of all people still has the single-game NBA assist record.

The Magic had 44 assists that game on 107 FGAs. The Nuggets had 14(!!!!) on 119 FGAs.

That was a Paul Westhead Nuggets team. They were notorious for their tempo and disrespect for defensive effort.
