Wow that trade is looking even more lopsided...
I'd welcome Teddy back.

Celtics' offers for Kevin Love not drawing Minnesota's affection

GSW can throw Lee and Thompson and their way, that blows anything Boston can offer outta the water. Yes Lee is older and but he expires in 2 years and thats a lot of cap room there. Klay himself is better than anything Boston can offer.

Boston's offer, if it includes most of their draft assets, is infinitely better wether the Wolves want to realize it or not. Their remaining pieces plus Lee-Klay won't be any closer to making the playoffs, and they'll be essentially rebuilding again. A GM-coach focused just in winning now probably won't operate under that mindset, but that doesn't really change anything.

Debatable. I'd rather take Thompson and continue to be bad than have nothing but picks to show for Love.

A guy on ASFN was arguing that Markieff Morris/Green was a better trade piece than Lee/Thompson. I can't say that I agree. Maybe Morris over Lee based on age/cost.

This was an interesting comparison:

Code: Select all

Klay Thompson 14.3 PER 19/3/2 per 36Min 53%eFG 108Ortg 106Drtg .112 WS/48
Gerald Green 16.5 PER 20/4/2 per 36Min 55%eFG 112Ortg 108Drtg .126 WS/48

PER Doesnt take into account Thompsons D and Green complete incompetence on that end.

I'd take Thompson and Lee over Kieff and Green 10 outta 10 times.

Yeah, me too. Lol.

Also, there's no way GS is including Thompson in any Love trade.

I think our best shot to get Love is after July 1st and involves a sign and trade with Bledsoe to the Lakers and whomever was drafted at #7, 14, and a few more players going to the T-Pups.

I know Love is your guy but I rather keep the #7 pick. Unless it's Julius Randle.

David Blatt very close to becoming Cavs head coach. Great hire. Get him some seasoned assistants, though.
