Good trade for Bucks.
Decent trade for Portland.
Questionable trade for Suns ... Nurkic is the type of center popular in the 80s and 90s NBA--aircraft carrier era.
Window is open again ... blue skies ahead?

It’s not a given that Nurkic will pass his physical. Just saying. :P

Little is also locked in at $6-7mil/year thru 26-27, which will help considering Okogie, KBD and Yuta are all on 1 yr deals. He may end up the 5th starter/core piece on a cheap deal. And just 23 with 4 years in the league already.
I think Little is better than a Torrey Craig and Okogie already and just needs the right role. He loves to play too which I think will go well with Book and KD. He moves well without the ball, has better handles, can score in multiple ways, and is strong, plays with energy.

Camara? Was that necessary? Ooph.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I’m fine with it as it’s basically what I expected. I’ll like it more if Allen and Johnson are moved for a ball handler like McConnell. Big fan of Nas Little and he’s probably the 5th starter at this point.

Ayton was never our championship or bust piece though. It’s not up to him. It’ll be up to Book/KD/Beal
That’s not what y’all were saying two months ago.
I think you misinterpret a lot of what I say. Maybe I say it poorly. Certainly Ayton had the power to thwart our championship, but he was never gonna win us one.

Allen is like a slightly better Shamet…he’s somewhat useful but not sure he has a place with EG here. If we can package Allen/Johnson for someone else…that would be great. Would fix the roster crunch too…assuming we waive Ish
We can’t package Allen with anybody for 60 days.

Don’t like. I just don’t get it. We don’t need any of those extra pieces.
AND we gave up Camara and draft picks/swaps? Wow. I'm speechless. Can't wait to hear what Jones has to say for himself.
Giving up Camara feels like a gut punch for some reason.
Imagine how he feels days before training camp.
Yeah, I know it's a business but it never feels very classy when teams move rookies before training camp.

Are we allowed to combine Allen and Johnson as a 2nd apron team?

Giannis-Dame is about as great of a 1-2 punch as you could put together.
BooKD pretty good too tbh.

It’s what I expected as well. In fact I think I called Nurkic/Little earlier today. I don’t know enough about Little to have a strong opinion. Know he’s flashed some stuff. Maybe a bigger Okogie. I could see him starting as well if he can knock down shots.

Maybe even equal or better in terms of talent, but I don't think as good in terms of fit.

Thwart us by playing poorly…like at the level of a Jusuf Nurkic?

Not only did we downgrade the center position, but we helped one of the best teams in the league (MIL) get better. We could be facing them in the Finals this coming season, and now they have Dame. Was that a wise move on our part? And we gave up our only rookie, who looked like he might actually be pretty good. I wanted to watch Camara grow here. Ugh, I really don't like this trade. I hope Ishbia saves some bucks though, good job getting under that apron!

I saw Camara in person at the Vegas summer league and I was excited to have him. Wish we could have kept him.

I think us fans were more attached to the potential Ayton brings from one game to the next than his teammates and Suns staff were. I don’t find fault in the trade in spite my disappointment. Nurk will be better than most of what you wrist cutters expect. Eubanks, Little I think will play well off the bench.
wristcutters... lol

It’ll be refreshing to watch a center with a basketball brain.

Nas Little is going to be a fan favorite, I’m calling it now. The guy plays hard and actually has skills beyond the typical energy/hustle guys.

Thing is, we know Little can play. Camara is still a question mark at this level, tho I was cautiously optimistic about him. He and Little would've been redundant.

For the Bucks, they take a step back defensively as Jrue was a big time perimeter defender. Dame is lightyears ahead in terms of offense, so it'll be interesting to see that trade-off. If we see them in the Finals, it won't be Jrue hounding Book which is a plus IMO.

My gut is that I don't think we have a better shot at winning the title this season than we did 2 hours ago and I think our chances might be worse.
I think our chance are worse too but I don’t think it’s it significantly worst or anything, maybe just a couple points.

The silver linings, to me at least, our depth is pretty solid outside of pg, and I think we have some flexibility to make some decent moves at the deadline if we need too, we have some nice mid size contracts that we can trade, also fully stocked inventory of 2nd rounds picks as well.
