My previous post an argument can be made that the coaches are doing something....
I know many don't think much of the coaching staff but young players developing good habits usually shows something positive has to be going on behind the scenes
K. Young gets lots of criticism also but I find our offense has alot of nice wrinkles and what I find is that our first couple plays are usually money and get a wide open look.
I think the problem is when the Big 3 take too long hunting a matchup and then getting to work under 10secs means one defensive rotation leaves Okogie or Metu and then it seems like a wasted possession.
Someone posted about the starters Net rating and they obviously are doing a great job getting down hill and punishing teams when they are forced to help and rotate.
Guess it's the 2nd units, although I like how the Big3 minutes are staggered with two always on the court maybe they think they need to be more ball dominant with three bench guys but that isn't ideal. Still a work in progress but the weak side shooters.....
I'm as Glass half full as they come but yeah....
KBD n Yuta are hard to trust because they are both too tentative. Missing 3s (jumpers) is part of the game but you can't be losing most 50-50 balls and going up soft in the paint with their length

Grayson is an UFA this summer..but we do have his bird rights…doesn’t mean we can stop him from leaving,
but we can pay him whatever we want. Little is signed for 4 years(including this year). We will have Okogie’s early bird rights, so we can give him a deal up to the MLE.
A lot of guys have player options and right now it seems they’ll pick them up as they haven’t shown to better than vet min guys(Yuta, KBD, Eubanks)
This plus Ishbia is a good combination.

Grayson also might be in line for more and want to wait till the off-season.
He might be in line for more than that.

How do we manifest a Devin Booker / Emma Stone couple to rival Taylor Swift / Travis Kelce?

What are Emma Stone's fans called? Emmies? Stoneys? Can they help with All-Star voting?

IINM, he’s an RFA and we have his Bird Rights, so we can keep him if we’re willing to match anyone else’s bid.

If we would have claimed his contract we’d have his bird rights, but we didn’t. We just gave him a 1 year new deal…so we don’t have any bird rights. All we can do is offer him a 20% raise..same situation we were in with Okogie.

I still don't get the Bol fascination, I get that he's a fun project, but the fact that we're relying on him is a statement on how poor the bench was built.

I get it... He's only had a couple of decent, serviceable games. I think it was great to see but It's not like he's going to go all Linsanity.
Call me crazy but I'm still hoping we've really been trying to not show our entire hand and to save the best for our playoff run. I mean it already looks like we're only playing the first 3/4 of the game and putzing around in the fourth quarter. Couple this with the injuries/resting they've done it's hard not to argue that they're just doing enough to make sure they're secure for the playoffs; hence why we're in the middle of the road standings wise. I'd predict if other teams start putting pressure on them, they'll put up some good games to secure their place.

Oh it’s definitely a statement on the poor bench, but he’s also playing better than just about any of us expected. It’s ok to admit we were wrong. A lot of people were saying he didn’t belong in the nba. He looks like he does have some value to add.

It's been like 5 games, he's also been downright unplayable.

More than we can say for a lot of the bench. I’m not saying he’s going to be a difference maker the rest of the way or that he won’t go back to being unplayable, but he is an nba player. I think it’s clear he’s worth having on a roster and hardly anyone believed that even a month ago. And I include myself in tbat..I didn't believe he was an nba player when we brought him in. I thought it was a fine risk to take though…some people were so offended by his inclusion on the roster though.
