How old is he now? It seems like he was playing with the Suns decades ago now.

PJ Tucker is not an NBA player. It's TJ Warren part deux for Suns fans. Stop trying to talk yourself into him being a rotation player for a contender.

Just a touch younger than LeBron

I think he’s probably got nothing to offer, but he did play rotation minutes in the playoffs last year for Philly. No harm in trying.

There's plenty of harm in trying if he's terrible like last season.

Everyone else we’ve tried has been horrible…and how exactly was he horrible last year?

This yearning for average former Suns players were an Olympic sport, this forum would win gold.

Com'on. He was Eric Gordon with even less ball skills last year.

Look at his playoff numbers. He does nothing but collect open shots in the corner of which he hit fewer than 40%.

I don’t know how you consider what’s happening to be yearning…almost everyone is not interested. I said he’d probably do nothing for us but wouldn’t hurt to try and everyone else seems to be even less interested than that.

This is not a singular case lol.

All we're saying is that it's a waste of time and effort. Just like TJ Warren.

Your dislike of Gordon is weird. And you don’t acquire Tucker for his offense. Also our current guys are collecting open shots from the corner and hitting fewer than 30%. I don’t think Tucker is some sort of game changer…I just think maybe he can stand in the corner for 10 minutes a game and take 1 shot while playing good defense and helping us rebound. Take the KBD minutes is all.

This isn’t even a case of it is my point though. And neither was TJ Warren…did anyone really even want him?

It happened with Dragic a lot, I’ll give you that. I just don’t know why it’s relevant to this discussion.

My dislike of Gordon is not weird. He's not good for weeks at a time but suddenly hits 4/5 shots and everyone forgets about how terrible he's been.

I wouldn't trust Tucker any more than KBD, Okogie or Little. He's just a bigger name to gripe about when it doesn't pan out in the end.

He's a below average sixth man for a contender.

That’s a little different than saying he’s PJ Tucker with a little more ball skills. We know this team isn’t deep, it’s obviously top heavy. Maybe you were expecting a better version of Gordon, but all I was hoping for was the shooting and he’s shooting 40% from 3 on high numbers of attempts. He’s been good and about what I expected.

Windy checks in on the state of the Suns.

'It's going to take time': The Suns aren't worried at the halfway point

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/393 ... fway-point

This is surprising:
Meanwhile, the Suns' lineup of Durant, Booker, Allen, Gordon and Nurkic has the best defensive rating of any group in the NBA this season that has played more than 100 minutes together, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Repeatedly, there has been evidence that the pieces are there for a special team. Figuring out how to put them together is the mission.
