What’s the organization being a cancer have anything to do with the community? Are you suggesting a bad organizations fans and community deserve a player like that?
Disregard that comment. It more meant organizations that make bad decisions regularly and currently aren't in the market of caring about things like hiring repeat wife beaters in front of their children. It's a cancerous organizational decision and I don't think we should be that organization simply because some team in the NBA will have him.
Jerry Colangelo would have never done it. And in before Saucy says that's why he doesn't have any NBA championships.

I am a believer in forgiveness and giving people second chances. And nobody is as bad as their worst day or the worst thing they have ever done. But the second incident really seals it for me. The guy got some grace, probation rather than prison time, a small suspension and a chance to restore his career. Then he has another incident including throwing things at the same woman, again in the presence of his poor children. At that point I don't think there is much hope for the guy.

You can say it doesn't matter because all you want is his play on the court. But NBA players make appearances at events, schools, hospitals, charity stuff. They are part of the city and community and are public-facing in a way other employees are not. You can't bring in a guy who you know beat the crap out of his wife, concussed her, fractured her ribs, threw metal objects at her, multiple times. You can't.
And guess what? He’s going to continue to make those appearances as long as he’s allowed in the NBA whether it’s in Phoenix or elsewhere.. Might as well help us win a title rather than go to our opponent and help them.
This is where I'm at with it. Not a single contender would second guess bringing him in if it meant winning a title.
I'll just say this. I would be the most conflicted I've ever been in my 50 years of Suns fandom.

You know it’s not James Jones, so it’s probably Isiah and/or Ishbia wanting him.

100%….

The latter seems far more likely to sell their soul for a ring.

There are plenty of other things I don't see eye to eye with Jerry Colangelo on, and he also employed some problematic players during his tenure.

When was the last time that bringing in a bench PF midseason won a team a title? This isn't KD we are talking about here. He's a backup forward.

That's a severe misevaluation. He'd start on the wing for any team in the league except for the Nuggets, Clippers, Celtics and possibly the Bucks.

It's not a coincidence that those first three teams are the top three title contenders, IMO.

Edit: He wouldn't start for the Knicks or Magic either.

I don’t want Bridges on this team, but ya he’s not just some backup forward…he was gonna get a max deal before he beat up his wife. He’s starting for Charlotte…I don’t know if he’d start for us, but he’s a better basketball player than Grayson…as much as I love Grayson. He was ahead of Mikal on the player hierarchy going into the summer of 2022 for reference.

He would be a massive talent upgrade on our team and immediately become our fourth best if not third best player

Bridges would probably be a super 6th man for us. I don’t think we want to mess with our starting lineup continuity but he still get 25 plus minutes a night, probably keep KD minutes around or under 35. Give us the opportunity to rest KD too.

I bet a lineup of Beal book Allen bridges KD would close most games

I hate to say it but my gut kinda tells me it’s going to happen. I’m sure the hornets will explore better trade packages and see if he’d prefer those destinations but the no trade clause probably will be too big of a hurdle. I think we are the only possible contending team that could give him the minutes he be looking, while also competing for a championship.

There’s nights where our bench only scores a disgusting 6 points. He’s instantly change that.

KD
Book
Beal
Allen
Bridges
And sometimes EG

That’s an insane amount of firepower and there’s plenty to go around too

Yes I agree…that would be our best lineup.

This is exactly the point some of us have been making for a month. We need a guy for that closing lineup and Bridges would be a perfect fit.

Problem is there’s rarely anyone in the buyout market that is all that interesting…I’m sure we’ll have our pick, but I’m not expecting much.

Gambo said on the radio we have no interest in PJ Tucker if he got bought out. I’m happy about that.
