It appears Gasol is retiring from the nba…article says they are releasing him so he can stay with his family in Spain.

And a slow, lumbering center is not what we need.

Marc would give a respectable defensive presence in the paint...and is certainly better than nothing, esp if on a friendly enough contract. That appears moot at this point, regardless...

Moot, yes.

I'd love to get Marc on the Suns, if nothing else, to hone Ayton's post game in practice... Oh well.

He most certainly is. We don't need practice players. We need a PF that can get court time and make a difference for us.

I'd like to see Ayton learn how to play offense from the post. If that elusive PF becomes available, I guess we'll need to send out Saric to match salary if it's trade, and if it's not, I guess Saric might be out for the season anyway and we could still add another player. Not that Gasol would happen anyway.

So the timeline podcast has a series of episodes coming out on the development of each of our young guys(Booker, Ayton, Bridges, Cam, Payne?)
Anyways, the Booker one came out the other day and they mentioned a stat I had to share…these are the 3pt percentages of our guys when they receive a pass from Booker…

Cam Payne - 53.2%
Mikal Bridges - 46.6%
Jae Crowder - 43.8%
Cam Johnson - 42.2%

I think that’s good, haha

Would be great if he upped his own percentage to those levels… that will really take his stardom another level.

Just being average from pull up would hugely increase his stardom, and our chances.

Nice to see Cotton get so much deserved love lately. He was one of a kind and seemed to make everybody around him love him.

Cotton was my favorite Suns coach.
His teams were always fun to watch, whether it was the Hawkins group, or the KJ-Chambers era.
