No interest in OG. We don’t need another shooting guard.

With the amount of time Book misses, yes we do lol.

We need to leave him in the hamper.

I am pleasantly surprised to see Bridges making the leap. Thought Ayton had the much better chance. But, if Bridges can keep up the Pippen act, the Suns have a shot if Ayton also figures it out for the playoffs at least.

he’s bigger than Jae too.
Jae is way more physical than him though. So in that respect, OG isn't an upgrade.

OG may offer an advantage on paper, but you're essentially trying the same thing that has caused us to come up short again and again. The Suns need to the versatility of fielding a lineup that gives us more of an interior presence at the 4.

I think what we need most is rim pressure and OG does offer a lot more than Jae in that regards, though I do agree he doesn’t fully solve the problem.

But you also might be meaning defensive interior presence, which is fair, he doesn’t offer more there than Jae. The problem is we wouldn’t have Ayton anymore and would be dependent on Biyombo playing big minutes.

Ayton should be forced to watch this Clockwork Orange style on a loop:

He wouldn't see anything wrong.

I never really imagined his instincts getting worse, but here we are.

I got this from another message board so I can't verify the contents and I haven't listened to the podcast.
From the latest Timeline podcast:

His defense is the worst it has been since his rookie year. And Monty has pretty much abandoned the switch and put him in drop most of the time because of it. Next, since he can't protect the rim well, he's getting annihilated on drives as he's allowing something like a 65% shooting percentage at the rim. If he can't protect the rim (you know, block at least 1 shot per game?) and dominate on the defensive glass, he's useless in a drop system. He's posting the lowest rebounding season of his career so far (it's all tightly bunched in the 10's for the most part) and the 2nd lowest O Rebounding of his career.

Honestly, it's depressing... I really had high hopes for DA and thought he was going to be bigger and meaner than STAT. It's also frustrating that this is all happening after he got his contract. How he goes from being Player of the Week, to M.I.A., then being great last night against the Celtics. ;)

Starting with the Brooklyn game, where we seemed to turn our season around (Ishbia's first appearance...hmmm), the Suns have gone 8-2 in the last 10 games. Ayton has played in 7 of those, and while being heavily criticized during most of that time frame (including while coming back still sick), he has averaged 22/13/3 on .564 FG% and 4.6 FTA per game.

He's on an great upswing now and absolutely deserved the criticism from the games when he played poorly. Illness or whatever, that's what happened.

If he was so sick, he shouldn't have played; the Suns were playing great without him.

Y'all tried your best to rattle my confidence ( ;) ) but he made it through another trade deadline so I'm happy. :D

Does this remind anyone of Shawn Marion yet? It's gonna be stressful if he's in trade rumors for years lol.

Well I will say this…If we don’t win this year and we need to retool around Book/KD…Ayton is gonna be the piece that could get us something. Let’s all just hope we win the title.

I'm just going to enjoy the rest of the season. And of course hope we win it all.
