I am a little surprised Chriss was put into the starting rotation right off the bat. He has been a little bit like a deer in the headlights. Just rookie stuff. I am ok with it because we arent going anywhere anyway but, if he is starting why so much less Bender and Ulis love? I hope his early struggles don't destroy his confidence. He looked a little frazzled the last game. Sink or swim I guess.

Here's a Forbes article I found on the Suns when reading one of the Bright Side articles:

No problem. Just wish we were playing a little better. Or ya know... do something in the front office.

Good for him. Doesn't really mean anything, though. He's still losing and isn't raising this roster to be more than the sum of its flawed parts. A "rah-rah" coach isn't what this team needs.

Not sure if this belongs here or the "around the league" thread but it's a quote from John Wall about Bledsoe's pitch for he and Cousins to come to PHX.

"And how does Wall react when Cousins pitches Sacramento?

“[Wall] wants me [in D.C.],” Cousins said. “Eric want us in Phoenix.

“Play with John and Eric again,” Cousins contemplated, “you never know what will happen. It’s the NBA, so hopefully one day he’ll be in a Sacramento uniform.”

I would LOVE to see them play together...just not in PHX.

A team of Wall, Bledsoe, and Cousins is cringe worthy. So much talent there but none of them have ever been able to make it translate into wins.

The way to play this is to trade Bledsoe to Washington. That gives Washington the inside edge in going after Cousins, so maybe they give a little more for him. Maybe Otto Porter and a pick? Then the Suns can draft a pg in this pg heavy draft.

That trio example illustrates the core flaw with Bledsoe. He's not a good enough shooter to be a full-time SG in 2016, but he isn't a pure enough distributor to be a full-time PG for a top team either. Wall is great as your PG and Cousins is great as your big man, but next to those two you want a pure shooter (dare I say, a Bradley Beal?) and not a tweener guard like Bledsoe.

I hate to admit it because I'm no fan of Len but he is right. You have to know by May if this dude can be a real starting C & if not what you're going to do with him.

The Chandler signing is a huge backfire. I'm not sure why we HAD to sign him before we knew Alrdridge was committing but whatever. Now he's blocking Len. I know Chandler is a solid locker room veteran but I really don't see his purpose here. Williams should be backing up Len. We shouldn't have a 70 mil 3rd string C in Chandler so we are pretending he's a starter still I guess. I used to be sour on Williams but he shows potential for a back up.

Not news, but if you need a little encouragement, here's another YouTuber who thinks Book is a good player. The series is called Attention to detail, and might be intended for coaching sessions. He breaks down why Booker is a good scorer.

I'd move Bledsoe/Chriss/Tucker/Jenkins to Orlando for Nikola Vucevic, Elfrid Payton, Aaron Gordon and Jodie Meeks.

What do we think of Chriss so far? His stats: 6.0 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 43.3% FG, 29.6% 3PT, 57% FT (oof) in 15 minutes.

I don't think he's a bust or a bad player, but a lot of times he seems like he's just kind of out there. Doesn't make a giant impact on the game. But I know he's a rookie and needs time and minutes.

Well, we don't run plays for Chriss, so there's no telling what he could do. But my perception is that he plays basketball like he's playing football.

Every once in a while, Chriss executes a play on offense or defense very very well, and I think WOW. But overall, he doesn't transition between plays quickly. After each play, he stands up straight and looks around to think about what is going to happen next. It's like he is still expecting a team huddle after every shot attempt. So he gets caught off guard and reacting too late very often.
