Game Day: Hornets (26-34) @ Suns (18-42), Thurs 3/2/17

Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP

The Hornets are better than their record indicates. In fact, they are 23-17 in games in which Zeller plays and he is back. Kaminsky has been on a tear as of late as well.

Go Suns!!!

At first I was like, "Oh neat, we're playing the Hornets! Get to see Boogie and Davis together!" Then I slowly remembered, wait, that's the Pelicans. (makes another cup of coffee)

Sauce doing his thing. 3-3 FG and 2 reb in 6 min in Q1.

If Ulis was just a little taller he would be a star. His court vision and passing is really something (stating the obvious I know...but that drive and pass to Williams late in the first was sublime)

Love how Ulis and Big Sauce have looked. Would love to see Derrick Jones Jr get some time defending some stars in the future. He's shown some good lateral quickness tonight and defensive ability

Not much, as it turns out. Looked like he rolled his ankle or knee or something. Was in some pain, went back to the locker room for tests. But he came back, so it can't have been much.

I think they called it a calf strain. He's looked pretty good since coming back. Looks like it shouldn't be an issue at all

Quiet in here tonight. We're playing a solid game. Tj has looked like Tj, Book has been distributing a lot. Len has looked good in the 2nd half. Bench is in now.

Could Jones Jr be Marion 2.0? His 2nd jump is very reminiscent of Marion as is his ability to catch any lob, wherever it's thrown. Obviously way early, but Jones has the physical tools. We'll see if he's got the defensive ch

If you give up 91 points through 3Q and still coast to a win, you just have to tip your hat to the Charlotte defense.
