So we decided that we were going to expedite the timeline for Avery Bradley? This dude can't get fired soon enough.

Hopefully the clips lock him up and take that chance away from Ryan

Dude has negative VORP and negative WS, and ranks 430 out of 478 in RPM.

It would be just like this franchise to outbid the rest of the league for him, and maybe trade another high lotto pick for the privilege. Then AASE will have someone else to go through it with.

He should fit right in then.

I hope this is a bit of pundits joining the dots of the Suns "accelerating the timeline" and Bradley being on the table, rather than actually being the plan. The one thing I'll give McDonough over his tenure is he hasn't telegraphed any of his moves that I recall, good or bad.

I was and sill am. If the price is right, of course. Bradley is a terrific defender and can make threes. He is no PG, though, and the problem comes when you ask him to be a focal point of an offense, like DET did. Playing off Booker this wouldn't be an issue in PHX.

He hasn't telegraphed any of his plans because he hasn't had any. Everything done by him seems to be by the seat of pants.

Phoenix Suns
Suns get: center Channing Frye, forward Jeff Green, guard Jose Calderon, Miami's 2020 second-round pick

Cavaliers get: center Tyson Chandler

André Snellings: I may be one of the few who believe the Cavaliers will work out most of their remaining issues organically, as I think a lot of the problem has been role definition -- and the health of Isaiah Thomas.

But the Cavs do need a defensive anchor, and they have a glut of perimeter players who appear to exacerbate their chemistry issues because they have overlapping roles and not enough minutes to thrive.

Chandler would be the defensive center Cleveland needs, and another veteran presence with championship experience, leadership and a voice that would demand respect in the locker room. The Suns have little need for Chandler, a veteran player at the stage of his career where he's most useful to contending teams.

The Suns are a team of young players headed for the lottery. They've got Alex Len, Marquese Chriss and Greg Monroe competing with Chandler for minutes, and each of them makes more sense for the Suns to play in a developmental or see-what-we-have role. Chandler is on the hook for another $13.6 million next season, when the Suns are likely to be no closer to contending.

The Cavaliers could send Frye, Green and Calderon, all on expiring contracts, to Phoenix, without losing a lot. To sweeten the pot and give the Suns more than just cap relief, the Cavs would add a pick -- Miami's 2020 second-rounder, or perhaps even their own 2018 late-first-round pick.

Yawn. Just what we need, another shitty pick as if we don’t have enough. I would do it just to get Chandler out of here but I’m not interested in any of those pieces, pick included

Do you expect to get anything of real value out of Chandler? That's 3 expirings and possibly a late 1st. That clears an extra 14 million in cap space. I'd be jumping for joy if they offered that to us.

No, I don't. Like I said, I'd be happy just to get rid of Chandler's deal.

We can't even take on 3 expiring deals in a 3 for 1 without cutting 2 players.

That wouldn't be hard. We'd have no use for any of the 3 guys we're acquiring. Just waive/buyout all 3. Could buyout Monroe as well if you'd rather keep Frye or Green

The Chandler they describe is at least one year gone... I even tought we were the one giving away a 2nd rounder!

Wonder if we could've snagged the BK pick with Bledsoe and Chandler.

It sure felt like there was a Cleveland-Phoenix trade involving Bledsoe that should have happened. Oh well.

I'd do that deal for Chandler. Get him off the salary books, let him compete in the playoffs. Would want to cut/buyout everybody but maybe Frye.
