I'm calling my shot - I guess. I think we trade Warren, #16, next year's MIL 1st, and Chriss for Kevin Love. He didn't play well in the finals and I think they want out of that $25M a year deal. He's 29-years-old and in the tail end of his prime years.
Knight/Okobo?/S. Harrison
Booker/Daniels/Reed
JJ/?/Dudley
Love/Bender/Peters
Ayton/Chandler/A. Williams
We win 37 games next year and miss the playoffs by 5 games.
It sounds from your post like you wouldn't like this outcome. Am I reading you right? I actually think it'd be a good deal to trade those assets you listed for Love. I think he'd help our forward rotation a lot and fills a lot of the team's current needs. I also think he'd be a great veteran to mentor Bender.

I like it. I don't think it quite makes us playoff worthy is what I meant by the last part. Unless Knight returns to 14-15 Milwaukee form somehow.

Gotcha. Yeah, I think it'd be a savvy move. I don't expect the playoffs next year; we will have so many young guys still learning how to play in this league, and a new coach and coaching staff. I just want the young fellas to get lots of minutes and learn to play together, to have our 1st round draft pick turn out to be a stud, and hopefully to see the other youngs like Bender grow and improve. The playoffs are completely secondary to me.

Can I interest anyone in a Bjelica since my Love trade didn't go down?

Sure. Already on my radar. Nice shot, IQ and some surprising playmaking, but the people that hated Frye are going to have fits if we get him. No D no rebounding stretch 'PF'.
Speaking of target bigs, Dedmon exercised his plater option and remains under contract for the Hawks. Prime candidate for a trade now.
The roster needs a deep shake now. TJ abd Chriss are in obvious danger (and I hate it for Warren).

I wish Jabari's knees were healthy. He'd be a really good addition. Essentially he's what I hope Bender will become. Shots in the paint & shots at the 3-point line.

Also a poor rebounder, something that I'm sure Bender is well on his way to becoming.
Whoops. We cross–moderated your double posts, Carey. Sorry about that. Please repeat it.
Did you read it before deleting it because it was directed at you.
I assume you want a defense first PF and I would like to know who you would suggest?
Yes, I did. I wanted to reply. No, our power forward does not have to be defense first but I'd like to have some decent defense from the position. I'm tired of being last defensively in the entire freakin' league.

My offseason moves:
1) Chandler, Chriss, Suns 2019 first round pick for Dragic
2) Acquire Milos Teodosic
This will be enough to guarantee the suns a playoff spot in the west.

It won't require a 1st, according to Miami. They will take a 2nd to relieve themselves of his contract. Does that change your proposal? And how many pgs do the Suns need? Dragic, Knight, Milos, Ulis, Okobo, Harrison, etc.

I'd love to get Dragic back. He would be a huge upgrade for us at PG and would probably have a noticeable positive impact on the team. And I doubt we'd have to surrender any assets of real value to get him. Chriss? Chandler? Warren? 2nd round pick? You can have 'em.
As for the "glut" of PGs, I really don't think we have one. Knight may be completely washed; we might even stretch the guy. Milos, well, we don't even have him yet, and if we got Dragic, I wouldn't want to acquire Milos. Ulis I'd keep as our backup PG. Okobo can be the 3rd PG who mostly plays in the G-League and as injury insurance. Harrison, waive / don't sign him. Bye.
There. A two-PG rotation with a third promising young PG in the wings getting reps in the developmental league. Not a glut at all.

I'm probably the minority here, but I don't think dragic does much for us... Honestly would rather just see what Knight can do rather than take on Dragic's contract.

I dont know where you got that information (pat riley?), but i'd be willing to part with the 2019 1st if that's what it takes.
