My McD notes:

Excited about the draft.
Checked most of the boxes.
More shooting and better defensive team. Veterans to teach young guys how to win.
High hopes for Okobo and Melton.
Go to training camp and preseason with young PGs and continue to evaluate trades up to the trade deadline.
Goal is to have biggest improvement in the league.
100+ plays on Kokoskov's office whiteboard.
Chriss wasn't a good fit with Ayton.
TJ Warren's shooting has improved.
Booker's sutures are out. He's been working out a lot one-handed.
Hope to have him back opening night.
Arthur has medical situation and is not 100% and not with the team. 17 players going to camp.
Ayton is unselfish.
Dragan: looking for consistency and aggression. Open competition. Minutes go to who earned them.

My Kokoskov notes:

Hardest part of training camp is dealing with "you guys" (the media).
Booker will go through morning practice.
PG situation. Want to turn weakness into a strength. Maybe play more guys less minutes.
Need to be solid. Low turnovers.
Two families. His family at home and his family here (the team).
TJ spent a lot of hours in the gym. Wishes they could have spent more time together. 3 point shooting is better.
Wanted more shooting and ball handlers.
Booker is going to do a lot of stuff on the court in training camp.
Ayton only a center in the NBA.
Coach Miller is going to spend time with the staff to help with Ayton.
Defense first for Ayton. Needs to be a rim protector.
Dragan had a good summer. Was here most of the summer. He's a PF only. Needs to mature fast.
Ryan Anderson is going to be a huge piece for us.
Enjoy the moment. Not doing anything different he's done all his life. Focused on the team and not outside factors.
Multiple ball handlers. Can go small ball with TJ at 4.
Will adjust to what we have. There is no perfect team. Believe in pace. Have to play hard every night. Believe in defensive stops.
"Be Legendary."

I am willing to say they will be better this year. They almost have to be with the change from a coach with no clue to one who seems to have a plan. Also, they have finally put some emphasis on picking up players to improve their defensive play, and I don't think we've seen that here in a couple of decades.

Will they be good enough to challenge for the playoff? Probably not, but I think they're on the way back up after bottoming out last year. Of course that doesn't mean that getting another high lottery pick next year won't help in the long run.

Nice bullet points there 'Bone
I just have a good feeling about Igor and I'm not one to overreact to small samples may it be good or bad so its going to take alot of wrongs to get me doubting that he's not gonna have us trending in the right direction

Yeah, I was really impressed with Shaq's interview. Said he started watching game film for the first time this summer.

EJ bet Shaq that he could get the ball across half court against him. EJ asked for 10 seconds though. I say no way.

If Harrison has a dependable shot, he's a viable option. At least he would check the defense and shooting boxes - running the offense is still a bit of a question.

No way.

EJ was just a "catch and shoot" guy when he was here 30 years ago (albeit a very good one).

Really liking what Okobo is saying. He's already watching a lot of film and of greats like Nash and Kidd. He also wants to be a distributor.

Didn't see any interviews with Mikal or TJ. Saw pics, so I know they were there, would like to have heard a few things from them.
