first loss of the season.
I don't get it.
It was just funny to see that as one of the first posts of the gameday thread, funny because of who posted it, funny because of the actual outcome, and funny because it was said so definitively without any explanation.
OK. Pretty sure most of us expected a loss. I just saw it as sdc being sdc. Your sense of humor and mine are quite a bit different. :)

I guess the Denver Nuggets team is pretty good. They just beat the defending champion Warriors in spite of missing a bunch of free throws down the stretch.

Yeah, I watched that game. The Warriors got it back to a tie score with about a minute left, but then they made mistakes down the stretch, including missed free throws and a potential game-tying shot that was blocked at the buzzer. Nugs looked impressive. Maybe we shouldn't lament losing to them too much.

The Nugs and Pels are my two favorite teams to watch so far. Small sample size, but I think only injuries will change my overall interest in those teams this year. It also probably helps that neither team has won anything in recent memory and they don't have any knuckleheads or just loathsome players.

Yep. That's a good way to put it. I just recently took SDC off of ignore as I thought he was actually starting to bring something to the site. Or at least he was trying. I'm regretting my decision already after posts like this. What does it add? What is it trying to accomplish?
