Game Day: Suns (1-4) @ Thunder (0-4), Sun 10/28/18

Post by Superbone »

Time: 4:00 pm AZ (4:00 pm PT / 7:00 pm ET)
Place: Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City, OK
TV: FSAZ/NBALP

Flush that last turd down and try again. Unfortunately, we're playing the winless and desperate OKC Thunder on their home court. There will be blood. This Suns team will have no confidence after the beat-down we're about to get.

Go Suns!!!

Westbrook is a game time decision with a shoulder injury, but I don't think he can pass up the chance to put 35/10/12 on the Suns and get his team their first win.

This feels like a winnable game if Westbrook doesn't play. But if Westbrook *does* play and Booker is out, this could be a rough one.

All I'm really looking for in each of these games is a good line from Ayton. He's been very encouraging amid all this losing.

How can anyone be optimistic about this game. I only hope it stays close before halftime..

After a good showing against Mark Gasol, let's see if Ayton can also play well against Steven Adams.
Tough matchup in a back-to-back.

Yea this should be a great test for DA. Really interested to see how he comes out.

I have absolutely no issues with DA right now on the offensive end. He's basically proven to be elite in just about every area on that side of the court, and I think he's probably even underrated at this point because of the offense and the players around him. Defensively, he's doing work on the boards and has proven dominant in that area, with the ability to get even better. His help defense can improve and not getting ANY blocks is a bit disappointing but not going to harp on it. We have much bigger issues.

Man, you have low expectations. Why can't we hope to be competitive and not get blown out in the first half of every game?

Yeah, wouldn't it be refreshing to go into halftime within 5 points?

Oh man, that would be such a building point. Ok, let it be our first objective then. Who knows maybe in 2 or 3 games we can extend it to the 3rd quarter. What the heck we might win someday.

You'd rather focus on Chandler wheeze and creak up and down the court, or Anderson fling long range bricks? :P

I'd rather watch the team hoping for a Suns win instead of saying, "I know we are getting blown out again, but the rooks look promising."

If it weren’t for bad luck we’d have no luck at all. Gloom despair and agony on me.

I had a feeling this would be a rough year. So I've been trying not to expect more than our very young players are able to deliver, and to focus on the positives. Having 1-2 young studs like Booker and Ayton is actually a pretty good starting point for a rebuild. But it doesn't happen overnight. I just hope Coachoskov realizes pretty soon that this team will be better off if he plays the young guys the bulk of the minutes.

Okobo in early. Suns showing much better activity on D. Anderson is terrible.

Okobo slams it home off the nice back cut. That cut is quickly becoming his signature move. Scored with it last night as well.
