NBA Commissioner Adam Silver wants to see Phoenix use municipal dollars to help out Sarver and his business. “I’ve made clear as well, as commissioner, it’d be a failure on my part if a team ended up moving out of a market. I will say, in Phoenix, it’s the oldest arena now in the NBA that hasn’t been either completely rebuilt or renovated. There’s no question the arena needs a substantial investment.” Silver, of course, is first and foremost a lobbyist in this situation and although Sarver claimed he would not move if the Phoenix city council said no to spending a quarter of a billion dollars on the renovation, other cities may want his business. It’s the way of sports today.

I'm curious, why was this particular article posted? I mean this is somewhat old news and not even particularly informative on the situation.

What's everyone's opinion on this?

I've been mostly pleased with Oubre. But if we keep him, we can't also keep both TJ Warren and Josh Jackson (can we?)...

And don’t forget that some other team is going to offer him a significant chunk of cheddar.

I like TJ, but if he can yield a PG or a PF I' move him.

His much improved 3pt% has been awesome, but he still doesnt defend, rebound or pass.

I think the residents of phoenix will play it safe and vote for the renovation.

The arena financing isn't up for a public vote, it's going to be voted on by the city council after the public forums are held.

The band I am in is playing a private party for the Suns tomorrow. I am stoked. Don’t be too jealous.

I totally agree. You would think he could have some trade value now with the added three-point shot.
