I noticed Holmes taking those floaters. That's great that he has a go-to move, but mostly I just want him to roll to the basket and do dunks and put-backs.

You sound like the Nuggets announcers. :P

Been wanting to mention that shot by Holmes all season...if anyone has one of those shotcharts I'd love to see his shots/percentages there. It's not an easy shot but he's got to be making a high percentage of them right in the middle of the lane. Great touch, not something you expect to go in but it's become his go-to. I can't think of many others with that push shot...Duncan used to use it when he'd be rolling in the middle of the lane and dropping in a shot over the defense.

Holmes almost never takes bad shots and I feel like everything he takes is going in.

It's awesome that both Holmes and Ayton have such high efficiency in their FG%.

So does every center we play against, so it balances out.

I think it's time to make a move for Mike Conley.

I can't see us having enough expiring deals or players they want to make that happen.

I just tried to make it work in the Trade Machine. Conley makes $30m/year. I had to put in:

TJ Warren $11.7m
Josh Jackson $6m
Dragan Bender $4.6m
Troy Daniels $3.3m

Dunno if Memphis would want that trash heap (outside of Warren). Would have to throw in a pick or two, maybe.

Either that or Anderson is involved (Anderson/Warren/Okobo/MIL pick or PHX 2020 pick with light protection).

I don't think the market for paying Conley $30M per for the next 2 seasons after this one is that hot. If they decide to tear it down there would only be a handful of suitors.

I don't see us getting a better player in free agency and we'd lock in a high-level PG for 2 years. He's a perfect fit for our roster. With a little luck in the lottery, we could have a foundation of:

Conley/Booker/Bridges/Zion/Ayton
Melton/(Jackson?)/Oubre/Holmes

That would be pretty nice.

Don’t know if we can afford to keep Oubre after picking up Conley’s salary. Sarver seems pretty stingy, and Oubre will be getting some substantial offers. Holmes’s free agency may be an issue as well.

I'm very curious to see what kind of deals he gets. I've seen $15M-18/year thrown around, but that seems like a massive overpay. Teams have been stingier with mid-tier swingmen since so many got burned by the awful deals thrown around to that type of player in 2016. I'd be ok with giving him the Warren deal ($50/4).

I think he's more stupid than stingy.

I don't think we're taking Conley's contract on. It's just a ton of money.

I'd probably rather try to sign my bae Rubio as a free agent than go after Conley, but that's just me.
