Assist to turnover ratio is currently the most overrated stat on this board. What is Steph Curry’s A:TO ratio?

Some PGs have a strong A:TO ratio because they can’t be trusted to run an offense. Not because they can.

Steph Curry is the greatest shooter of all time. He’s not a pure point so that’s kind of a weird point.

Nor do they run a traditional offense.
I’m just saying it’s being overused as a stat. Tyus Jones has always had a great A:TO. There’s also a reason he doesn’t start over Jeff Teague.
Because the Timberwolves are tanking?

Kevin Johnson didn't start over Mark Price, and Steve Nash didn't start over Jason Kidd.

Tyus Jones looked great starting when Teague was injured. Teague starts because he is a veteran making $19 million a year.

Indy also gave up a first rounder and 2 seconds to get Brogdon.
Too rich for my blood.
Doesn't matter. They got their guy and looking around at the deals some other players got, it's actually a good proposition at $21.5M per. I would have loved it if Jones was able to pull it off.
I don't blame the Suns for not getting Brogdon. I could live with the salary, but investing that money in him AND giving up 3 draft picks is a non-starter for me.
Can't agree on this one. Two seconds is neglible in this context and the lotto protected 1stR pick is not a price that would keep me from adding a pice I value this highly. You tell me before the offseason that I can get Brogdon per under the max ($6M per/$32M overall), for the price of the MIL pick, #32 and another second round, and I can't say yes fast enough.

IND did very well, in my opinion.
Good point. I hadn't heard about the protection on the first rounder. I also forgot that they flipped the pick we sent them and turned it into three second rounders. So yeah, Indiana did well.

Let's just keep glossing over my point. Here's the NBA's top 30 in assist to turnover ratio. It's a veritable who's-who of the NBA's best PGs.
1 Tyus Jones Minnesota Timberwolves PG 7.0
2 Monte Morris Denver Nuggets PG 5.7
3 Ryan Arcidiacono Chicago Bulls PG 4.3
4 Andre Iguodala Golden State Warriors SF 4.1
5 Cory Joseph Indiana Pacers PG 4.1
6 Devonte' Graham Charlotte Hornets PG 4.0
7 Jerryd Bayless Minnesota Timberwolves PG 3.7
8 Fred VanVleet Toronto Raptors PG 3.6
9 Jeff Teague Minnesota Timberwolves PG 3.5
10 Darren Collison Indiana Pacers PG 3.5
11 Mike Conley Memphis Grizzlies PG 3.5
12 Patrick Beverley LA Clippers PG 3.5
13 Jose Calderon Detroit Pistons PG 3.4
14 Yogi Ferrell Sacramento Kings PG 3.4
15 Langston Galloway Detroit Pistons SG 3.4
16 Pat Connaughton Milwaukee Bucks SG 3.4
17 Ish Smith Detroit Pistons PG 3.3
18 Tomas Satoransky Washington Wizards SG 3.3
19 Justin Jackson Dallas Mavericks SF 3.3
20 D.J. Augustin Orlando Magic PG 3.3
21 Tim Frazier Milwaukee Bucks PG 3.3
22 Trey Burke Dallas Mavericks PG 3.2
23 Delon Wright Memphis Grizzlies PG 3.2
24 Terry Rozier Boston Celtics PG 3.2
25 Shaun Livingston Golden State Warriors PG 3.2
26 George Hill Milwaukee Bucks PG 3.1
27 Kyle Lowry Toronto Raptors PG 3.1
28 Jerian Grant Orlando Magic PG 3.1
29 J.J. Barea Dallas Mavericks PG 2.9
30 T.J. McConnell Philadelphia 76ers PG 2.9
It's a stat that highlights effective backup PGs, but usually doesn't hold up to higher usage rates and/or bigger roles initiating an offense.

That should be the default kit, btw. Insanely elegant and clean. Been looking to buy Booker's but nowhere to be found...

I would prefer these, with a minor tweak to the numbers to make them similar to the western font -

I'm hoping that third year of Rubio's deal is a team option or non-guaranteed.

Nothing reported in that regard. And honestly, I don't see the FO having the ability to negotiate in such a favorable way for PHX. Btw, did you know Rubio had a bonus in his last contract that paid him 75k more if he got to 40% FG?

rubio can be a good spot up shooter.

what he sucks at is finishing around the rim and off dribble jumpshots. he lacks nba level athleticism.

He was wearing #2 in that first photo, but he's holding up #11 in the most recent. Weird.

According to the press release Rubio is one of the top 5 point guards in NBA history. Magic, Stockton, Kidd, Paul, and Rubio.
Specifically:
Rubio is one of just five players to rank in the top 20 in NBA history in both assists and steals per game, joined by current or future Hall of Fame point guards Jason Kidd, Magic Johnson, John Stockton and Chris Paul. He holds career averages of 11.1 points, 7.7 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.93 steals in eight NBA seasons with Minnesota and Utah.
Not sure it reads exactly the way you read it.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I was just having some fun with it, but you could almost read that as them wanting to say he’s one of the top 5 two-way point guards of all time.
