Awesome News (Kawhi to Clippers)

Post by Vladimir_Taltos »

I'm sorry in advance, but this just needs said. This just worked out too perfect. I mean...it's the Lakers...so...

So, let's recap...
a. Le'Fraud gets Flakes to over commit to Kawhi, waiting over a week as higher level FAs sign elsewhere
b. Flakers gut the small foundational base they did have, holding an Aztec like ritual of human sacrifice of their younger players to add to the Temple of Le'Ego de Le'Fraud
c. More rending of picks and prospects to get Antonio Davis to hold Le'Fraud's jock, only to have AD repeatedly confirm he will be exploring Free Agency next summer

https://clutchpoints.com/lakers-news-an ... two-teams/

d. Kawhi goes to LA, but to their mortal enemies, the Clippers!!!!! (Oh, and he brought
Paul George too.)

http://www.nba.com/article/2019/07/06/r ... s-clippers

So, let's add it all up...by the end of construction for The Le'Fraud Temple of Ego:

Cost: All foundational players of mulitiple years of bottom dwelling and missed playoff misery, mulitple future draft picks, commitments of varying degree to multiple has-been players
Outcome: A Mad Max desert of a future, a wasteland where the old eat the young to survive, with cries for mercy echo through the streets of LA amongst the Flaker Faithful and odd cries of triumph are faintly heard from a locked tight building that appears to be octangally shaped, with faint cheers of Kawhi, Kawhi. Random, vacant eyed people staring as they walk down the street muttering Le'Bitch...Le'Fraud...AD, why did you do us dirty? And in the rest of America, the ease of a small sense of satisfaction in the outcome...that a rushed attempt at a short-cut to buy the brass ring versus building from work, sacrifice, and suffering ended in vain.
Post-Script: At the Weenie Roast held on AD's final day in the Spring of 2020, unheard of legions of Flakers fans sat around fires in the Arena parking lot, gnashing their teeth as they chomped on their roasted weenies and muttering at what might have been. Together over the airways on America's televisions, a mixed sense took hold...this..this is what Justice looks like. It sees the death of the Empire and the re-birth of an abused fan-base in the LA basin, and an end in ignominy for shortcuts and an over-inflated ego.
Value: Priceless!

I hear you, but how sad is it that the Lakers' suffering is our only happy moments?

How pumped are Clippers fans today? Jazz fans? Nets fans?

When was the last time the Suns made a trade or free agent signing that you were pumped for?

Why didnt the Suns make any of those trades? Or the KG trade (back in 07)? Or the James Harden Trade (in 2013)?

Bob Sarver is simply too risk averse to compete in this league. Just really sucks to be a Suns fan.

Hey...in those times when a Suns fan can celebrate Laker misery while we hope for the future....good times...good times...

Vlad, you're a hoot.

But I agree. I hope Leonard et. al. dissipate the phony Lakers aura.
Window is open again ... blue skies ahead?

Well I wanted Ball to do nothing but pass to Booker, Chriss and Warren to reignite some run and gun Suns, so I’m pretty happy we’ll have Rubio passing to Booker, Ayton and Oubre instead.

We might not win much but we’ll be fun again and that’s more than good enough for me right now.

It is never fun watching stupid basketball plays--which is what we consistently had with Jackson and that horrible cadre of supposed point guards. Booker had his share of bonehead plays too.

I am looking forward to watching this team.

I'm expecting a refreshing change of pace. I expect to see a well coached team with high basketball IQ players making the right plays. Like I said, refreshing. Ahh.

Looks like it's a done deal that nobody will make an offer to Oubre now that Claw is a Clip and Green is wearing Purple and Gold, so we don't have to worry about unloading more pieces to match offers for him.

They wouldn't have to unload any pieces to match or re-sign him - they can go over the cap to do that.
