No timetable set for Hayward's return - https://www.celticsblog.com/2019/11/9/2 ... -left-hand
Bummed out about the Hayward injury. The Celtics were looking pretty good. I want more competitive teams in the East; I don't want it to be just a countdown to 76ers vs. Bucks.
Lakers' Anthony Davis admits to dealing with lingering shoulder injury: 'Never a play I don't feel it' - https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/lake ... t-feel-it/
In the preseason predictions thread, I said that I wonder whether a big injury to Lebron or Davis could hamper the Lakers' season. I still think that's a big danger for them.
NBA Rookie Power Rankings: Ja Morant on the rise, Warriors' rookies step up in absence of their stars - https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba- ... eir-stars/
I'm trying to follow along with Morant this season. In another parallel universe, the Suns got the #2 pick this past draft and took Morant (and then probably didn't sign Rubio). Morant is a very interesting player; he attacks a bit like Westbrook but without as strong of a frame. I found this article about him interesting:

"Ja Morant risks his body every game, and that’s what makes him thrilling to watch. The Grizzlies point guard isn’t built to play the way he does."

Morant sure looks like the next great point guard.

Jerk!

I'm glad we have a team that Davis can't rest against.

33/10/11 for Doncic and 20/11 for KP and Dallas still loses to the worst team in basketball. That’s why I don’t believe in Dallas. They’re a 2 man team.

Well the two of them did shoot 17 of 40 (42%) combined, and 4 of 17 (24%) on 3's. Which the bench more or less matched (43%/21%). So it wasn't just the bench tonight.

I don't think that Melo/Portland pairing will work out. He was so bad during his last NBA years, and I don't think he ever learned how to play a role rather than just hogging the ball and chucking up shots. I think he could actually have a negative effect on their team. We'll see. Maybe he has learned from his time away and has humbled himself. But I doubt it.

That’s not an unusual shooting night for Doncic. He’s a stud, but he’s not an efficient scorer yet.

Portland's desperate for a spark. They maxed out the past few years, tweaked things in the offseason and took a step back. Melo's not what they need, doubt he helps any unless he goes all in on playing the 4 spot.

They aren't bringing in Melo to play basketball. It's more of a Scared Straight situation.

DO YOU WANT TO END UP LIKE THIS CARMELO ANTHONY YOU SEE IN FRONT OF YOU?!?! DO YOU?

Well at least last couple seasons everyone knew that Aminu and Harkless were their 3 and D guys at small forward
This season team has oft injured Hood, Hezonja and the rook Little getting the SF minutes in other words nobody and most nights they hope the lil guard Simons can help with scoring
So yes no doubt they're desperate but actually probably need him to score more than just stand in the corner like in OKC and Houston.
