Golden State loses to Atlanta by 25 tonight in a battle of the worst.

Fewest points allowed by Atlanta prior to tonight (79) had been 99 points

The Knicks fired Fizdale today.

Nobody is going to win with that roster and front office.

I love seeing the Knicks lose and be dysfunctional as much as I love seeing the Suns win. So this season has been pretty good so far.

Wow on the Fizdale firing. I don't think it was his fault, was it?

He mismanaged the talent he was given, tho it was a bad mix of talent. Going back to last year he never seemed to install a defensive or offensive system. Talent was bad last year and they were tanking, but still nothing took shape. This year the FO signed all those guys to "win now while developing the young kids" which is hard to do (as we know from the McD Reign of Terror). Fiz was trying to run a passing/motion offense with a switching defense but the roster wasn't built for that.

Still, the FO just added too many guys this offseason, too many PFs and gave Fiz like 12-13 average guys who all need 25-30mpg. Maybe the FO signings affected his lineups/rotations. Plus, Knox has taken a step back, Mitch Robinson has plateaued at best, and DSJ isn't scaring anyone.

Bottom line is the team stopped playing for him. Back to back 30-40 pt losses with multiple 20pt losses already, they had to make a move. The FO is incompetent tho and Fiz was always going to be the scapegoat. It starts and ends with ownership tho.

Their offseason was an unmitigated disaster. I didn't like a single one of their FA signings. They have a few good young pieces (like Knox, Robinson, and Barrett) and I wish they'd just let the kids run and lose and learn. They panicked after not getting Durant/Kyrie and wasted their money. Fizdale is a decent coach but he wouldn't be able to get those guys to win. I still don't get why they traded Porzingis for such a mediocre haul...

Porzingis wasn’t going to stay...they didn’t get a ton, but essentially 3 1sts is not bad. Plus they dumped THJ contract...of course they didn’t use the cap space well. There is definitely a path to rebuild though.

I like Mitchell Robinson. I’m pretty meh on RJ Barrett, but he’s talent. I think he’s maybe Tyreke Evans. I don’t like Knox or DSJ, but I think there is a chance Ntilikina is useful. Randle is a good basketball player.

So Ntilikina, RJ, Randle, and Robinson. Plus what should be a really good pick this upcoming draft(Cole Anthony or Anthony Edwards would be good additions) As long as they are smart with their cap space(don’t chase Giannis, just add solid players) They could be a playoff team with a bright future in a couple years.

Fizdale is an average at best coach in the first place. Give him a screwed up roster and this is what was always bound to happen. The Knicks FO can only blame themselves, but that's not how it works.

Any interest in Love? I think he'd be a fantastic fit here. With his salary, we could probably land him for Tyler Johnson + Kaminsky. Cavs want cap space more than anything else now, and those two give it to them.

Phoenix wants wins, and a rebounding, passing, 3 point shooting big man is what the team needs most.

Biggest concern is durability ... he's played 141 games the last three seasons.

Upside is that in a three-man 4-5 rotation, a mix of Baynes, Ayton and Love brings a great deal to the table.

I’d give em TJ Frank Okobo and our 2020 unprotected 1st for Love and Clarkson if salaries fit

Yeah.

You got to pay to play. With love here, our first won’t be shit.

Love is not just a salary dump. He’s a multi-All Star who is still in his prime.

He’s averaging nearly 17/10 on 45/38/88 splits this year. You’re not getting him for your trash.

Kevin love would be a great fit, but he’s has a absolutely horrible contract, extremely injury prone and 31. Short term great but pretty devastating financially especially when love turns into Ryan Anderson in another year.

I’m not giving up a 1st for 4 years 120 million on a 31 year old injury prone PF
