Honestly I don't really care about a W as long as they come out an play a complete game and show the same defensive intensity for the duration of the game they have been showing when down by double digits in a game. That said, if they do that, they should win by double digits.

Despite some tough recent losses, I do think we are near a turning point in a positive direction. We're still integrating Ayton and figuring out our lineups and rotations, but we are back to nearly full strength, and I think the pieces are there for us to improve. We should be able to win against teams like Sacramento; I think we are significantly better than they are. I hope we can get a W here. I also hope that Coach doesn't lean in too strongly toward the twin tower lineup; give Saric his minutes.

A starting five with Bayton is a recipe for failure...

Unless you are playing the Knicks, which is the definition of failure.

Saric is in an ideal situation and needs to knock down his shots. If he’s in a slump it’s one thing but he needs to be effective out there not turning it over when his shot isn’t there.

I'm a Saric defender. He does a lot of other things besides shoot. He has good court vision and passing, and he's a surprisingly decent defender and rebounder given his marginal athleticism and strength.

But he is shooting 33% at the rim. And he shoots nearly as often at the rim as he does from 3. I know the common refrain is dunks or 3s, but we are better off with him shootings 3s than trying to dunk. He can't keep playing so soft around the rim. He hardly gets any FTAs from his shots at the rim, either. Only 53 FTAs all year, on 102 shots at the rim. About .5 FTA/shot at the rim. Booker is getting 1.15 FTA and Kelly is getting .77.

Well, quit defending him and maybe he'll make more baskets! Hand down, man down.

Let’s see if we can remember that we HAVE to guard Bogi. If he goes off again I’m going to really question Montys coaching capability.

Let’s play hard! Let’s get a win!

Yes, let's play with the same intensity that we brought in the 4th quarter against the Grizz. That is the only way this team is going to make the playoffs. We are NOT too cool for school.

All of a sudden Baynes can't guard anybody and can't make a shot.

Ayton. Thank you! That said, Devin has missed him a couple of times already - one would have been tough but you gotta try

He either needs to shoot the 3 straight on or not at all.

Agreed. Even with him staying closer to the basket and NOT receiving the ball, he makes Booker and others so much more effective in lane penetration because Ayton's defender can't leave him to help. MORE MORE MORE
