The biggest example to me was when talking about the Sonics series...Jordan laughs off the idea that Gary Payton had any effect on him. Jordan’s numbers were drastically worse with Payton defending him that series. No mention of that though. The idea was to show Jordan as the goat. Anything that went against that idea was left out.
Eh. I don't think Jordan saying something means that it is being offered as fact. Him saying Payton had no effect on him just shows his arrogance. I don't think that is being offered up as evidence of him being the GOAT.

His lack of success in the 80s, his berating of teammates, him crossing the line with how he treated Krause, his gambling "scandal," his lack of political involvement, his fight with Steve Kerr...none of that had to do with him being the GOAT.

True, but none of that takes away from him being the goat. I don’t expect Jordan to acknowledge Payton had an impact on him, but if all I had to go on was the doc, I’d think Jordan wasn’t phased by Payton and in fact overcame his defense to lead them to victory. He went like 5/19 in the deciding game 6. Rodman’s 11 offensive rebounds were probably more impactful.

It’s not just a Jordan puff piece as you’ve pointed out, but it’s still a slightly biased doc.

NHLPA agree on 24-team playoff framework to resume season

Could this pave the way for the NBA?

Suns could still make playoffs in reported return-to-play scenarios

From what I’m reading there’s also a very real possibility they don’t play at all if they’re lumped together with the bottom teams.

If action resumes, I think the NBA takes the extra 2 weeks to "finish" out the regular season at 70 games. It brings them a boatload of money and gets teams back in shape for the playoffs.

It would seem to me that if you’re not mathematically eliminated, you should be eligible.

We need them to seed without considering conference. We’re 13th in the west but 21st in the league. I can’t imagine them taking more than 12 per conference. If they do play a few more games, we’re 2 games behind 12 seed, 2.5 games behind 9. Hard to make that up in 5 games.

Do we even want to play? If there's any risk of COVID infection, and if we have a very low chance of making the playoffs, wouldn't we rather just stay home and stay safe?

Of course, it was pretty much his production and he had final say. Even calling it a documentary is misleading because it wasn't told from an objective viewpoint.
Did you really think it lacked objectivity? It didn't hide from Jordan's faults, nor did it paint him as a saint. I think it absolutely is a documentary.
How about autobiography?

In The Last Dance, MJ denied having anything to do with Isiah being kept off the Dream Team. Jack McCallum came up with supposed audio of MJ telling Rod Thorn he wouldn't play in Isiah was on the team

They create 3 super teams in 2025. The top 3 picks are predictable(Luka, Giannis, Zion) # 4 was a pleasant surprise as Booker got picked and everyone liked the pick.

Is Booker going to be a top 5 player in 5 years?

Luka as the #1 pick? With Giannis on the board? That's questionable.

Once again...Suns get screwed.
One of the only teams to have cap space to improve this summer...the league will deplete it by $6 million. No team gets affected more.
The Suns could make the playoffs....the league is suspending Ayton for 25 games for taking a water pill.
Meanwhile, the Lakers don't make the playoffs...in the 5 yrs they are in the lottery, the only time they didn't move up is when they didn't have their pick. The Suns...haven't moved up in the lottery in 33 yrs.

It's hard NOT being a conspiracy theorists at this point. I could go on and on over the years about when the league intentionally screwed the Suns.

We had the worst record, so that wasn’t moving up.

I guess so but it was no guarantee, that's for sure. We had a little luck, for once.

Yeah, that wasn't really moving up when you have the worst record. All you could do was stay the same or move down. You can't move up if you have the worst record or made the playoffs, right?
