Have to peep the yung fella Maxey highlights for sure but man the circumstances Covid which resulted in him playing 44mins really becoming an issue.

Only 7 players were able to suit and Mike Scott wasn't really fit enough to play but league rules is a minimum of 7 players have to be dressed or it's a forfeit.
Then the Tatum news which leads to the Beal news

It feels like it's been longer but it's only week 3 of the season and these players in protocol number getting kinda big

Seems like we’ve had more ACL’s than normal since the shutdown...Klay, Isaac, Fultz, Bryant, Dinwiddie...any others?

I don't want to sound alarmist. But there is still a very real chance that COVID will have a devastating impact on this NBA season. Like, canceled games and forfeits and guys out for a month and stuff like that.

I think the best hope would be that the players realize with this recent bump in players getting held out, that they need to be careful and we see improvements. Think that may have happened with baseball as they saw a bunch of cancelled games early and then seemed to figure it out.

I'm prepared to lose key guys at key junctures in the season. We will just have to soldier on & enjoy it for what it is. I will still root for the Suns in the Cam Payne-Ty Alexander game that will surely come later on.

So it is to your benefit as a team to get inconclusive tests if you already have a couple key players out. Got it.

That little trick might work for one game, but I don't think the NBA is going to accept inconclusive tests for several consecutive gamedays.

probably not. But you are better off having 7 guys than having 8, since the NBA won't force any forfeits and will let you reschedule.

I think this will end up being at least as good for Boston as it might have been for Miami. Last I saw, Boston's 8 available were five point guards, a rookie wing, and Daniel Theis and Tacko Fall.

Lots of good options:

Think I’d go

Kidd, Allen, KD, Lebron, KG

LeBron
Ray Allen
KD
Gianis
AD

That's too easy.

Thought about that same team...felt like Giannis was a weird fit offensively.

Doesn't matter with all that offense. He's plays the Shawn Marion role.

Ya you’re probably right. Giannis and AD for $2 seems way too cheap when Dwight is $4. Think KG should be the $4 C, then make Giannis and AD the $3 PF and C. Dwight can be the $2 C with Pau at PF. Move Pierce to the $2 SF. Keep whoever you want from Marc Gasol, Horford, or Yao at $1 C and drop the other 2. Add maybe Bosh and Paul George? Carmelo? Vince Carter? They can be your $1 SF/PF.

I’d also flip Kidd and Westbrook at pg....Actually probably put Lillard as the $1 PG over Westbrook.
