It seems to me that his main motivation is to piss off Suns fans watching their broadcast.Charlie Smithy! wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 3:54 pmThat third guy is known for being a semi popular radio host in the Dallas-Fort Worth area ; I don't know why they have a three-person booth, skin, as they call him, is obviously not known for his basketball acumen

It's not wrong. Not if we wanted to offer Wood more than the mid-level, which was necessary to match or beat Houston's offer. We would have needed to operate as an under the cap team and doing so would have meant renouncing the rights to our free agents so we could remove their cap holds. We then could not have gone over the cap to re-sign Saric. He could have only signed here for the room exception or the minimum.specialsauce wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 3:51 pmAnd whoever is saying Wood would have meant no Saric is wrong. I think they could have played together. It would have had some deficiencies, but Wood is credible enough as a floor spacer and Ayton is credible enough as a defender on the perimeter that they could have made it work. CP/Booker/Mikal/Wood/Ayton would be a nightmare for other teams to match up with.

I think their skills could mesh. I was thinking more about the difference in their on-court personalities, while essentially playing the same position. I wonder how many rebounds they would fight over, and how long it would take before DA would defer.Shabazz wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 3:58 pmI think they could have played together. Nooo!!!! Not Pat Burke 2.0 aka the human victory cigar Jevon “The Question” Carter!Indy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 3:55 pmWe wouldn't have had the space to sign wood while keeping his rights. we would have had to renounce him and carter (and others I think).specialsauce wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 3:51 pmAnd whoever is saying Wood would have meant no Saric is wrong. I didn't say he has never had a good game for us. He has had some solid outings and some really bad ones. My evaluation is that, taken as a whole to this point, he hasn't been good.Superbone wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 7:55 pmYeah, totally confused by INF’s statement. The last sentence is just flat wrong. I think the production has matched the contract value.INFORMER wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 6:05 pmAriza was hyped as to quintessential veteran that just knows how to play, playoff tested, and tough that the Suns just had to add. Crowder was billed the same way. The Ariza signing blew up in the Suns face because he quit and he wasn't really that good to begin with (what has he done since being traded?). Crowder will never quit, but his value on the court hasn't been there. He hasn't been terrible, but he hasn't been good either.
Trendon Watford. Please and thank you.
