My bet is that the players thought this would be funny and egged him on. I strongly doubt this was his idea. For sure he should have been much more self-conscious.

LeBron does this kinda thing so often. Always wanna plead the fifth when something controversial happens and ppl believe him, it's so annoying.

Riiiiight
His reaction is literally Hey, y'all gonna let him say that ?!

That video kinda makes me think Booker deserved to be ejected. Funny seeing Crowder tell the ref “I said it”

Man, you guys look so bad in hindsight.
I don't get the Nader hate. I said it a few weeks back and nothing's changed. He's a bench player and his peak is probably the 7th man on a good team. He's basically been the 8th-9th man on the Suns when everyone is healthy. If anything, he's outplayed that role.
Ya he’s fine...kind of a jack of all trades. He can shoot a little, drive a little, and defend a little. He gets caught occasionally trying to do too much, but he’s not a zero on offense. You have to respect his shot and if you run him off the line, he can get into the paint. He’s not a great finisher, but he’s ok. Had 3 blocks and a steal tonight. He’s just like a C+ at everything. Would be nice if he had one skill to count on.
Can be frustrating on offense but he's a player. I like his game, just don't love him in extended minutes. Thought it was interesting Monty went with him but I guess with the Lakers using their swings he made sense. Got time over Moore (and Frank and Gallo) in the 2nd half when Book was ejected and hit some big shots. He's also a chippy defender, looks like he gets under guys' skin.
He shouldn’t sniff the court unless we are down 2 swings
He was a big part of why we won, buddy.

Embarrassing and he'll never know how not to be a tool.

It definitely sounds like he made the 9/11 comment. Hopefully this video just goes away.

Jake Voskhul hit a game winner once, should we retire his number?

Nader sucks. A good quarter doesn’t erase all the bad he does on the court. He was horrible in the first half, and he just is not a rotation player. Not sure why Monty is playing him when others aren’t hurt. I would much prefer Galloway

Book must’ve said something really profane. Nobody stood up for him postgame, and Lebrons reaction says it all

Ya, Book also didn’t really protest..he was off the court before the broadcast even realized. And Crowder was trying to take blame, not argue whether it was warranted.

I don't get all the Nader hate. He isn't a great player, but he does several things well. He drives to the basket better than most of the players on the roster, including some of our starters. He plays decent defense; he blocked several shots last night. He wasn't afraid to defend Lebron or other Laker players who were bigger and stronger than him. He plays hard. He can hit some shots, including at least one 3 last night (though I admit he isn't a pure deadeye shooter). He does a little of everything. I like his attitude, his hustle, his defense, his attacking the basket. Biggest criticism I would have of him is that he sometimes tries to do too much, sometimes shoots in traffic when he should pass. But it isn't a huge problem, especially when he plays in a bench lineup without a lot of shot creators. We need a little of that in our bench unit.

I'm not saying max the guy out, just that for a bench swing, he is not so bad. He has talent. We got him for free as a throw-in on the Chris Paul deal.
He's being paid jack squat and we don't depend on him. He has contributed in several games for us. Why hate on the guy? He's totally fine as a backup player.

Lmao. Porsche 911. It’s often just called “9/11”

I’m absolutely positive that is what he is referring to. Base on the context, nothing else makes sense.

There’s just no reason at all to play him unless we’re down several rotational players. He’s a great 12th man, we’re playing him as a 7th man for whatever reason.

Gallo should play ahead of him if offense is what we’re looking for. Carter if it’s defense.

We have Bridges, Cam, Crowder, Book, Gallo, and Carter who should all get time before him at the 2/3 spots.

Crowder, Cam and Bridges should all be getting 35 mpg before Nader even sniffs the court. Why are we insisting on going so deep?

I don’t have a problem with Nader, he just sucked up until that last stretch. I apologize already for my slander and I’m glad he came up big in the end but that still doesn’t mean he wasn’t stinking it up for most of the game.

He’s been the 9th-10th man...that’s perfectly fine. He played more minutes yesterday because Book got ejected and we were rolling with him out there in the 4th.

He doesn’t play over Cam/Crowder/Bridges.

CP3, Book, Bridges, Crowder, Ayton, Johnson, and Saric are our clear top 7. Payne has been that 8th guy most the season, but Moore has started sneaking in there. The 9th guy has rotated between Carter/Galloway/Nader. Nader is the best all around player of the bunch. He’s got size, he’s a better driver and better finisher. He’s not the shooter Galloway is, but he’s shooting 38% from 3. And maybe Carter is a better point of attack defender, but he’s small. Nader is switchable.

I think there is a time for playing Galloway and am a little surprised he dropped out completely...he’s still shooting like 47% from 3.

But basically, Cam/Crowder/Bridges split the 3/4 minutes. With a little Kaminsky thrown in lately(though not last night). Ayton and Saric split the 5. CP3 and Payne(or Moore) split the pg minutes and Booker and Nader(or Gallo or Carter) split the sg minutes.

The Lakers also only had Schroder as a true PG so Gallo would've been tough to throw on their bigger swings. Having Nader out there allowed all of our swings to switch, be it onto Caruso, THT, KCP, Matthews, LBJ.

Ya we had Payne and Paul out there for a moment, but that was when Caruso and Schroeder were both out there. THT is a very big wing.
