Yep, heard it on that one. Booker can’t do that, gotta be smarter than that.

The irony is that Saucy hates players with tunnel vision, but once a player gets in his doghouse he can’t see him any differently.

Agreed.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Book's been watching Deadwood too much lately.

Ya he’s fine...kind of a jack of all trades. He can shoot a little, drive a little, and defend a little. He gets caught occasionally trying to do too much, but he’s not a zero on offense. You have to respect his shot and if you run him off the line, he can get into the paint. He’s not a great finisher, but he’s ok. Had 3 blocks and a steal tonight. He’s just like a C+ at everything. Would be nice if he had one skill to count on.
Can be frustrating on offense but he's a player. I like his game, just don't love him in extended minutes. Thought it was interesting Monty went with him but I guess with the Lakers using their swings he made sense. Got time over Moore (and Frank and Gallo) in the 2nd half when Book was ejected and hit some big shots. He's also a chippy defender, looks like he gets under guys' skin.
He shouldn’t sniff the court unless we are down 2 swings
He was a big part of why we won, buddy.
Jake Voskhul hit a game winner once, should we retire his number?

Nader sucks. A good quarter doesn’t erase all the bad he does on the court. He was horrible in the first half, and he just is not a rotation player. Not sure why Monty is playing him when others aren’t hurt. I would much prefer Galloway

I don't get all the Nader hate. He isn't a great player, but he does several things well. He drives to the basket better than most of the players on the roster, including some of our starters. He plays decent defense; he blocked several shots last night. He wasn't afraid to defend Lebron or other Laker players who were bigger and stronger than him. He plays hard. He can hit some shots, including at least one 3 last night (though I admit he isn't a pure deadeye shooter). He does a little of everything. I like his attitude, his hustle, his defense, his attacking the basket. Biggest criticism I would have of him is that he sometimes tries to do too much, sometimes shoots in traffic when he should pass. But it isn't a huge problem, especially when he plays in a bench lineup without a lot of shot creators. We need a little of that in our bench unit.

I'm not saying max the guy out, just that for a bench swing, he is not so bad. He has talent. We got him for free as a throw-in on the Chris Paul deal.
He's being paid jack squat and we don't depend on him. He has contributed in several games for us. Why hate on the guy? He's totally fine as a backup player.
It's just Saucy. WW was a one-off.

“I think about the only time I could get what I wanted would be 9/11” WTH??! What is that supposed to mean???
I think he said club...is there a club called 9-11
I heard 9/11 too. Wtf is he trying to say? God he is so weird.
Ya he definitely said 9/11...I have no idea what he meant by it
Lmao. Porsche 911. It’s often just called “9/11”

I’m absolutely positive that is what he is referring to. Base on the context, nothing else makes sense.
Thank you for the interpretation. That makes sense.

The Lakers also only had Schroder as a true PG so Gallo would've been tough to throw on their bigger swings. Having Nader out there allowed all of our swings to switch, be it onto Caruso, THT, KCP, Matthews, LBJ.
It's just basketball. Coach is good at knowing who to play when. It worked. We won. 2nd best record in the L, bitches! (Oops, did I just get tossed?!)

I remember 2 of them, did he catch LeBron on one near the rim?

I don't know exactly how it got so chippy or why the refs were so jumpy about things. I missed the start of the 2nd half so I might've missed something there but it felt like out of nowhere they were replaying everything, huddling over fouls, giving out Ts. I'd say it was equally physical in the 1st half, maybe they just wanted to change it up in the 2nd half?
To me it seemed to start with Jones intentionally tripping Booker on that screen (no call), and Booker went mental and grabbed KCP's foot for the foul (should have been a flagrant 1). Then KCP hit Booker on the breakaway, pulling his arm down on his follow through and causing a pretty hard fall. Then it was on, back and forth, after stewing over it during halftime.... Of course, it is Lakers v Suns and the Suns are good once again, so it really started before the game.
Yes, I think that was the spark tat started the fire. But I think the kindling (to extend the metaphor) was there all along with Book and LeBron in the referees faces from the tip. Book started the game ANGRY

The ejection was confusing because we couldn't see or hear what was happening, but Book didn't question it much. He knew what he said.

Yup.

Regarding the avatar, I didn't want to say anything, it was funny the first time I saw it, but I have a hard time looking at it repeatedly.

Im actually really annoyed at seeing Sarver pop up at all here. We have 10+ years of evidence that suggests the team's success is negatively correlated to Sarver's involvement (even superficially). This feels like the 2021 version of the foam finger.
I couldn't agree more.

That’s just not true. I have come around to love Dario and even Frank.

When players change, my view changes.

Alex Len, Nutless Bender, Kelly, Mike James, Josh Jackson. None of these players ever grew to play the game the right way. They all have the same weaknesses they’ve always had.

I just don’t blindly love all Phoenix Suns that don’t get arrested or throw a towel in a coach’s face like some of you.
