Playoffs baby! We did it!

A lot of us have spent the last 10 miserable years here together. Commiserating. Sometimes attacking one another out of frustration, out of passion for this team and franchise. Well kids, we finally made it out of that dark tunnel, that cesspool of hopeless negativity.

Cheers to you who have suffered through this 10 years of misery. Cheers to those .netters who we’ve lost in that decade long drought. Hope you’re somewhere enjoying this as we are. Everyone’s coffee and kool-aid will taste a little bit better tomorrow. We’re back to being winners again. Don’t worry about what’s next. Just enjoy the feeling of the end of a dark time. And as always, fuck Sarver and Go Suns!

Solid
We couldn't afford to lose to them with no Kawhi

DA wasn't impacting the game as much as he could but he did very well on the boards in the 4th. Wished for a block or two on some of the Clipper drives but he was a presence

On a side note
I hate when their guards score against us. Reggie Jackson smh, his shot selection seems suspect more often than not and Rondo jumpers

And the 1 year we were actually good(48-34 year) was the year the site went down.

I don't want to look like an heretic here...but is CP3 better than Nash?
Paul is having a great season, but I don't think he is as good as peak Nash. Nash was just nasty at orchestrating an offense. He would probe the basket, find holes in the defense, find open men and make crazy passes to get them wide open 3-point shots. I would absolutely trade this version of Chris Paul for prime Nash, no hesitation. Nash would be getting Mikal and Cam and Crowder so many 3s, getting Booker easy buckets, feeding Ayton over and over and over. Nash wouldn't be scoring quite as much nor defending quite as well, but I'd love to watch him work with this supporting cast.

Solid game by Payne: 15 pts (including miracle falling out of bonds over backboard shot at end of third quarter) 4 assists and 4 rebounds.

Kaminsky had 13, including seven straight points in second quarter.

Craig with 10 points, 6 boards, two blocks and a steal.
Our bench was awesome tonight. I really enjoyed Payne's game; Kaminsky gave us very solid minutes; and Craig always hustles his ass off. He's our 2021 version of PJ Tucker. Really like having him on our team. We need a guy like him. The bench mob plus CP3 was enough to get a good win here. The Clips seemed laser focused on denying Booker, throwing a lot of tough defenders on him like Rondo and Mann.

I also thought Bridges had a good game, if not statistically eye-catching. He played a lot of good defense on George, and he hit some nice 3s in the 1st half.

Cam Johnson missed a ton of 3s tonight. I just checked and he was 0-6 and that sounds about right. I wish he'd find his shot before the playoffs hit; we need his shooting to spread the floor.

3 steals and 2 blocks for Bridges...added 13 points and 7 boards as well. I think he started 4-4 and then missed his last 4 shots, but he made plays on the defensive end all night. He had a huge steal on a lob attempt to Zubac with about 3 minutes left.

Close to clinching home court advantage in the first round--8 games ahead of Lakers with 10 to play.
Yup, and with the season series already in hand against the Lakers. Any two wins in the final 10 games will guarantee homecourt in the first round of the playoffs.

Cam Johnson can’t hit anything again
I have a fix for him. He doesn't have much confidence and he seems to be missing just a little bit to the right.

I suggest that Monty ties a ten pound weight to his left testicle prior to tomorrows practice. That should make his balls bigger and clean up his misses to the left.

If we can get him going we are going to be very difficult to beat with a healthy Dario and Crowder.

Hats off to Payne and Kamisky. The MVP was pretty good as well.

Sometimes EJ harps on the same things over and over and it gets a little old, but I do think seeing the ball go in can be a big boost. If we could find a way to get Cam an easy look near the hoop early on, it could help.

THE LONG NIGHTMARE IS OVER!

So proud of this team, what JJ has done with the roster, rebuilding the culture, Monty's steady leadership, even Sarver for being willing to shell out for CP3 and give Booker his backcourt running mate during a time of financial uncertainty. Just love this team. SUNS FOR LIFE!!

I agree with EJ's take as well. It seems like recently all he is shooting are threes. He always seems to finish when he takes in strong to the hoop. That is probably a much better fix to get him going than my 10 lb weight. He actually is one of my favorite players on the team. Even when his shot stinks he plays his ass off on defense and the boards.

I went back and looked at every scoring play in the game. Paul scored on George three times, pretty much cooking him each time.

I can only recall one time George forced Paul into a bad shot, a tough contested 3 from the corner, but there could've been more. More likely that Paul George is sensitive.
