Morant is going to get fined even more for that tweet.

Brooklyn closing with Mike James right now against Milwaukee in a close game.

the more comments I see about the Play In, I think people hear one game knockout like March Madness and think it is like 7 vs 10 and 8 vs 9 to see who makes the Playoffs. The higher seed getting two chances to win 1 while the lower seeds have to win 2 straight, I just don't see what's unfair to anyone involved (if you lose the two straight you probably don't deserve to be in :? )

Yeah, I agree. If you're 7 or 8, you have to lose two games to get ousted from the playoffs. That's pretty unlikely to happen. Probably the play-ins will be dull and mostly the 7-8 will just end up staying as they are.

It’s not designed to knock out the 7-8 seeds, but to give more teams a reason to keep playing hard: Most likely #6 needs to keep running just to stay away from it, #7 to catch #6, avoid the play-in and get some rest, #8 and #9 always been there, but #10 and lower (likely all the way to #12) get a chance for a ticket out of non-playoffs failure. If records are close, you can even drag #5 to the fight or make it a run out of the play-in between 6-8.

That and some rest to the top seeds, makes it worthy to me.

I don't know much about this guy, but it's a savvy move by the Knicks. They locked him up but the contract is non-guaranteed. Maybe they won't be going all in for Lonzo Ball after all?

Exactly. Right now, the #12 is Sacramento, and they could definitely beat Memphis or Portland in an elimination game. If the Lakers aren't healthy, the Kings could take them, too. Now none of these teams have a reason to coast, and in the rare times when there is an upset, it will be very exciting for us fans.

The play-in is a rest opportunity for 1-6, a little peril for 7-8, and an opportunity for 9-10. Naturally, all the complaints come from teams heading for 7-8.

It's looking like it was a very strong draft.

My top 5 guys who were available at 10 in order: Haliburton, Lewis, Smith, Hampton, Saddiq Bey

A bad look all around for the Pacers. But kind of funny, if I'm being honest.

Sabonis at the 1:12 mark is pretty funny, he's like "I'm outta here".

Here's some more Indy spice.
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/29 ... -bjorkgren
Inside the Turbulent Tenure of Indiana Pacers Coach Nate Bjorkgren

Nurse was heavily consulted throughout the interview process, sources said, but Indiana brass never contacted Phoenix executives for insight on Bjorkgren's time as a Suns assistant from 2015-17.

Nor did they consult with last year's Orlando bubble breakout player T.J. Warren—who played under Bjorkgren in Phoenix—according to sources. There is a belief among several members of the Pacers organization that Warren requested a trade upon learning of Bjorkgren's hire and has no interest in playing for Bjorkgren.

Warren's season-ending surgery after suffering a foot injury in late December has provided a natural buffer between him and Bjorkgren, as Warren rehabilitates on schedule in North Carolina. A source with knowledge of Warren's thinking told Bleacher Report that he is looking forward to rejoining the Pacers for the 2021-22 season.
What a shocker to find out that TJ Warren would pull something goofy to avoid playing games.

Not that it necessarily means anything, but TJ is denying this on Twitter. Of course he probably knows Bjorkren is gone and demanding a trade never looks good, so he could just be trying to bury it.

Pacers fans have got to be mad. A year ago, they looked like a serious threat in the East with the return of Oladipo.

Lakers lost to Clips tonight and are now a full game back of the 5th seed Mavs (who beat Brooklyn tonight). The Lakers freefall continues.
