I don’t care if the Lakers can only manage to get 5 girls scouts out on the court to play for them. Beating LA never gets old no matter who is playing.

Today we send a message. This is what a round 1 series against Phoenix will look like. No one here is afraid to play you, LA.

I would love it if this was a 30+ win. It’s not a victory if Stix scores less than 6 points.

There is absolutely no excuse to lose this game. We should limit the minutes of CP3 and Booker if we can. I don't care if LA wants to play us; we can't really control the seeds every team lands at, only our own. We should try to win as many as we can and see if we can snag #1. Knowing our luck, even if we do get #1, the Lakers will fall to #8.

I'm all about beating them by 30 but I also need Kuz to have like 30 and 10 with five 3s and 4 steals for one of my fantasy teams.

I haven’t spent much time looking at the play in rules until last night.

Q: How will the Play-In Tournament be structured?
At the conclusion of the regular season but before the first round of the playoffs, the team with the 7th-highest winning percentage in each conference will host the team with the 8th-highest winning percentage in a Play-In Game (the “Seven-Eight Game”). The winner of the Seven-Eight Game in each conference will earn the No. 7 seed.

The team with the 9th-highest winning percentage in each conference will host the team with the 10th-highest winning percentage in the “Nine-Ten Game”. The loser of the Seven-Eight Game will host the winner of the Nine-Ten Game in a Play-In Game, and the winner of that game in each conference will earn the No. 8 seed.

Q: What happens to the winners of the Play-In Tournament?
The winners of the Play-In tournament will receive the 7th and 8th-seeded positions in each conference. Following the Play-In Tournament, the NBA Playoffs will commence with the traditional 16-team, best-of-seven series structure.

So the loser of the 9-10 matchup goes home. The winner plays the the loser of the 7-8 matchup and that winner becomes the 8th seed. The winner of the 7-8 matchup becomes the 7th seed. Here’s to hoping the Lakers finish 9-10 and lose or have to play two play in games just to make it to the playoffs.

At the moment it appears we will play the winner of a 1 game Lakers/Warriors battle...so one of our next two opponents will almost definitely be our playoff opponent.

Actually, I should say that Memphis is still very much alive in the hunt for the 8 seed. Memphis/GS play to close the season, with winner getting the tie breaker. That could very well be to decide who gets 8 in the play in. They are tied in the loss column at the moment.

Just our luck that we finally make the playoffs and our first round opponent is a team that has won the championship in the last three years.

A win tonight clinches a top 3 seed.

Tonight could be interesting to see how we match up with the Lakers size. No Lebron, so it’s not the full picture, but we can see how a Crowder/Ayton front court handles AD/Drummond

I know we should crush them. That means it will be a super close game that we have to come from behind to win.

I predict we win by 1 point on a Kaminsky buzzer-beater.

Speaking of buzzer beaters, I watched that last play again in Cleveland at the end of regulation where Booker forced up the shot from the corner with 2 and 3 guys on him. Booker has got to be ready for that and dish the ball off to the open man like Jordan learned to do with Kerr and Paxton. Cam Johnson was wide open at the FT line. It might be unfortunate that he got reinforcement for that behavior when he hit that shot in the bubble over Leonard and George. Gotta pick your spots and adjust depending on what the defense gives you.

Yea I'm done. Steamrolled the league, lost 5-4 this week in the final. Kuz would've helped! :(

Lakers go big, we go Torrey
