Game Day (Early Start!): Suns (49-21) @ Spurs (33-37), Sat 5/15/21

Post by Superbone »

Time: 11:00 am AZ (11:00 am PT/2:00 pm ET)
Place: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX
TV: BSAZ/NBALP

Here we are. Our final two regular season games in San Antonio, back to back. We need one for 50 and both just to have a shot at the #1 seed. However, the Spurs are planning on taking them both:
"It's frustrating losing the way we lost," DeRozan said afterward. "We wish we had done it with a win. Until we are able to gain that feeling and that confidence back, everybody is going to be on edge. You're fighting for your life now. It's really win or go home after these next two games."

In battling Phoenix, the Spurs look to build some momentum for the play-in game and can be buoyed by the fact that they thrashed the Suns 111-85 on the road on April 17. San Antonio held Phoenix to its lowest scoring game of the season.

"We want to go into our play-in situation with a full head of steam," Johnson said. "We're just locked in and ready to get these next two games."
Go Suns!!!

And the Spurs kicked our asses last time. They looked like NBA Champions and we looked like a Jr. high team. I hope they redeem themselves.

Spurs are sitting half their team for rest, including DeRozan and Murray. So of course, knowing our team, the remaining Spurs bantha fodder squad will play us tough and the game will be a nail-biter.

If Monty/Paul/Booker decide to play, fine, but keep it under 30 minutes for anyone and give a run to Galloway, Moore and the others guys, they need it even if we go on a short rotation. It’s a back to back and we don’t need hammies pulled or worse.

The Jazz are not going to lose to the Kings. #1 is out of reach.

Yea he will be at Duncan HOF induction
It's Covid that made the timing strange this year right ?

The inductions are usually during All Star weekend I believe, I really can't remember games playing on the same day as HOF ceremony 🤔

The selections are usually announced during All-Star weekend, but the induction ceremony is usually in September. This is the Class of 2020 being inducted. The Class of 2021 is going to be announced this weekend apparently.

Never mind. I just watched the pregame show and EJ says they’re “resting” all their best players. SCREW YOU, Sacramento.

I've trolled my boy Cam for his reluctance to use his off hand lol
He did it for a key basket against Blazers when Melo got called for goaltending

Easy blow by past Eubanks and another right hand finish
Did you guys catch the story EJ told about seeing him in traffic ? 8-)

I just finished the first quarter. Nice surgical operation on the Spurs B team. Doubled up their score 34-17. Suns looking like a well-oiled machine.

First to 100. 100-67 with 2:23 left in the third. Suns bench filtering in. Galloway was put in a little bit earlier.
