The Nugs are another team with a lot of depth upfront - AG, Milsapp, Green, Jokic, McGee - so DA will need to keep it rolling. I think Dario and Frank may be a bit more effective because while the Nugs have size, they're not overly athletic besides AG and McGee.

MPJ's a legit offensive threat from everywhere so Mikal, Cam, Crowder and Craig should all see time guarding him. With Murray out, there's not a lot of depth in the backcourt but Campazzo, Rivers and Monte Morris played well against the Blazers. A healthy Chris Paul would obviously help a ton.

I couldn't decide if to use each individual Game Day thread or if to put these all the same place but I think here is a good place for these player highlight vids as we look ahead to the Nuggets. First up DA :) 8-)

Man, the perspective just hit me how amazing it is that we are where we are. Two years ago we had the 2nd worst record in the league. We had an amazing run in last year’s Covid bubble and went 8-0. We added Chris Paul and Jae Crowder in the off-season. We ended up with the 2nd best record in the league even sitting at #1 for a brief moment but still finishing one win away from the best record. We make the playoffs for the first time in 11 years! Everybody tried to avoid the Lakers in the first round. We didn’t. We get them, the defending NBA champs. We knock them off in 6 games! We are now in the second round!

This has been an amazing journey and turn around. Let’s keep this story going. Why not us? Let’s have a storybook ending. Like Kevin Garnett said when he got his first championship, “Anything’s possible!”
"Be Legendary."

It sure does feel a lot like when we got Nash, doesn't it? We had a ton of young talent but we just couldn't pull it together and get wins. Then we bring in a veteran point guard who is thought of as too old or past his prime by many in the league, and suddenly we're off to the races and one of the best teams in the league. Those 2004-2010 years were so special, and this year has a lot of that same magic to it in my mind.

It has been amazing. Do any of you go back and forth like I do about saying them or we? Are they the Suns or are we the Suns? Did they do well against the Lakers or did we do well against the Lakers? I will write we when talking about the Suns and then change it to they sometimes. After this long as a Suns fan I think it might be ok to say WE are the Suns too.

It's kind of like Negan for those of you who watch the Walking Dead. WE are the Suns. <whistles>

On the other hand, maybe they are OURS. The PA announcer used to introduce the team before games like this, "Suns fans on your feet! Here are YOUR Phoenix Suns!"
"Be Legendary."

Kind of like Albertsons grocery store. “Albertsons, it’s your store.” Try going into Albertsons and not paying because it’s your store and see how far that gets you. 😀

Time for that confidence ✔ after game 1 against the Nuggets.

Recency bias is probably at work here, but I really think we take this series.

I feel very confident, and that's very strange, since we're Suns fans.
