I think this will be Carter's last start for a while.

I’m a few minutes behind, but Frank and Dario are having a layup bricking competition.

Not bad at all by Jalen
Nice block at the rim, another challenge forcing a miss from Poeltl

1/2 from deep, both shots looked quite fluid
He did well to get deep position in the post but rush the shots both times. Those should have really been buckets

What was a bit disappointing is I think he was late rotating a couple times and some passes got by him also in PnR. Just could be a step slow with the scheme or he might have to sharpen up his defensive awareness for sure

I still say Stix is more a 5 than a 4.

Carter has many fine attributes, but distribution is not one of them.

Poetl is bludgeoning both in the low post.
Something that Suns management should address in the off season ...

Just warms my heart seeing Chris Paul going crazy after that Stix dunk.

That was a nice pass to Smith for the jam, though ... 8-)

Jalen Smith starting!!!! Let’s gooooo
OK, I’m a little less than 4 minutes into it but when I saw who was sitting for us and the starters that came back for the Spurs, it looked to me like a loss and that the Spurs were wanting a little momentum entering into the play in games. However, the Suns got off to a nice little start up 11-5. At least it’s fun to watch the other guys and see what Stix can do in his first game as a starter.

Oh, one other thing. Nobody on the Suns broadcast recognized that Payne used his right hand for that scoop shot off the glass and it looked so natural.

HAVE TO address.
Last time they tried to address it, they used the #10 pick in the draft on Stix.
