What’s going on with these fans? They’re so glad to get out of the house and with other people that they can’t control themselves.
Asshole + copious amounts of alcohol = well, this.

Great tackle by the security guy.
That was a nice tackle. The guy only barely made it onto the court. It makes you wonder if he had a plan if he had made it onto the court unscathed.
You can see in the second angle that he actually does make it onto the court and seems to slap the backboard for some reason. Seems like a guy following through on a dumb bet or something.

Wow, thanks. I didn’t know about the grassy knoll angle. So, he wasn’t trying to storm the court. Looked like he was on his way back into the crowd after jumping and hitting the side of the backboard when the security guard actually tackled him onto the court.
"Be Legendary."

And here’s yet another angle where you can see he came from the sideline through the front row fans and ran across the court:

I get a lot of European pitch invader vibes from that last clip. Stupid, but harmless.

It's only harmless until something happens.

Yeah sideline security did a bad job, but end zone security was great.

Ask Monica Seles how harmless it is.

LOL at his dumb "weed + bong" shirt. What an idiot.

Yeah, I get the overall feeling that some fans have some harmful pent-up energy that is coming out at these games. I hope nobody does anything really stupid.

Soccer and football have larger areas and the playing field is less crowded, but on top of that, on basketball, the speed of the game is such, that he actually was close to get caught in the middle of the action (it seems that wasn’t his intentions) and be on harms way for himself and/or a player (let’s imagine a cross court bullet pass or a player trying an alley-oop per example) It’s not just dumb, is as reckless as crossing a highway.

On Dec. 11, 1971, in between plays in the fourth quarter of a NFL game between the Baltimore Colts and Miami Dolphins at Memorial Stadium, a drunken fan raced onto the field and tried to run off with the game ball. Colts linebacker Mike Curtis broke from the defensive huddle and leveled the fan with a vicious hit, driving him hard into the turf.
Asked about the incident later, Curtis said, “When he comes down here, he plays by our rules …”

There's no way he'd have made it onto the court if the arena was allowed to have it's normal capacity crowd. There wouldn't have been any space to get through between the courtside seats and there would've been more ushers in the area.

That would be beautiful to watch.

It is so stupid for the NBA to be playing games simultaneously in the playoffs.

Ya I would have loved to see that Lillard performance, but no way I was changing the channel from our game. Shouldn’t have any overlap come round 2.

Even in a 30 point blowout, and the other game in double OT, I wasn't turning the channel.

We have been waiting too long to now stay and joy this, even with a classic game taking place on a different channel.
