Reggie Miller just said that he thinks the Suns are playing the best basketball of the teams remaining in the playoffs.

The Suns, Jazz and Durant have been the best for the past week or so. The Jazz lost and Durant cooled down. That leaves just the Suns.

It's going to take a helluva defensive effort to counter the Suns ball movement right now, and it's honestly made me a bit concerned they'll lose the rhythm if they end up with 5+ days of rest.

Do you really think that Paul would let them lose focus? He's gonna be on their asses like never before

Here' the weird thing....

Last time the Suns made it to the WCF (2010), they went 4-2 in the first round, and 4-0 in the second.

This year, they went 4-2 in the first round and 4-0 in the second.

Thankfully, Kobe and Artest won't be waiting for us in the next round this time. We've got 7 or 9 days off, CP3 can get some rest and the team can get some reps in practice, and every game that goes by for the Clippers and Jazz wears them down, and creates a new risk for injury to their players. In other words, they can only really get LESS healthy from here.

This team reminds me often of that 2010 team…just a better version.

The Suns set their all-time record with seven straight wins in the playoffs tonight. What a start in Polly’s lifetime!

Latest championship odds from BetMGM, and implied probabilities:
  +250 (25.1%) Nets
  +375 (18.5%) Suns
  +400 (17.5%) Jazz
  +475 (15.2%) Bucks
  +600 (12.5%) 76ers
  +750 (10.3%) Clippers
+10000 ( 0.9%) Hawks

Conference championship odds:
  +130 (40.3%) Suns
  +145 (37.9%) Jazz
  +325 (21.8%) Clippers

Conference semi-finals:
  -190 (62.6%) Jazz
  +155 (37.4%) Clippers

The betting market is saying it doesn't much matter whether we get the Jazz or Clippers, we'll have about a 40% chance against either of them.

Of course, the betting market has been underestimating us all season.

I’m slightly surprised it still has Nets as favorites…I kinda see them as fairly decent underdogs to Milwaukee now

I don’t really know betting terminology too well but I don’t think that’s what that that says...

The Jazz are 62.6% to make the WCF and 37.9% to win it, so their probability of winning it conditional on making it is 37.9/62.6 = 60.5%. Similarly the Clipps are 21.8%/37.4% = 58.3% to win it if they're there.

Paul quite possibly just had the best playoff series of his career at 36…that’s saying something…and right after his worst series of all time.

9/8/3 on 38/20/75 to
26/10/5 on 63/75/100

Got it. Thanks for the explanation. I was reading it another way altogether.

I liked Denver before the series and almost got completely through the series feeling the same way…the Jokic crap got me upset, but I think I’ve moved past it already. I don’t like Campazzo, I was continuously worried he’d get a suns player injured by the way he played, but the rest of their guys are very likable. Helps that we swept them, hard to develop bad feelings, haha.

Yea weird quote when I read it. Not sure if that's a harmless compliment to CP or something deeper.

Here's some of Malone's presser. I genuinely feel bad for the Nugs, who have become a really solid and winning org, that they weren't healthy this year. I still think we would've beaten them in a tougher 6-7 game series if they had Murray. Malone's a great coach and they've got a lot of nice players. The Joker ejection- there was windup and it landed on the head. It wasn't intentional, just a frustration foul; the rules are rules (as we know).

"Malicious intent" is a straw man, and "mumbo jumbo" is downright disrespectful. Stay classy, Malone.

(For the record, it was "windup, impact and follow-through.")
