If the Jazz take that series, there goes our home court advantage. Though I do think the Jazz are a more favorable matchup for us than the Clippers, based on the regular season. I just hope this series can get stretched a bit into at least 6 games and the Jazz don't win in 4 or 5.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. You got dudes like Joel Embiid, Anthony Davis, all these 7-footers, doing everything. There's no stopping us. - Ayton

The clippers are trash…I was a little worried about them, but not after watching them in the playoffs..jazz are definitely taking this series
Split: I would trade DA for SGA right now(11-24-2020)

Cap: I wouldn’t. Somebody remember to check this post in five years and see which of us looks the fool.

Wow. Clippers cut that 20 point lead down to 5 quickly. What a cold stretch for Utah.

WTF did I just watch? That's just embarrassing and just as bad as his free throw violations.

It's really hard to generate a lane to the rim when your jump shot presents 0 threat to the defense.

I like Blake daring Giannis to try the three, like he unwisely tried multiple times in the game (1-8).

Dude can’t shoot threes. Why is he trying eight of them in a playoff game?

He’s 4-32 in the playoffs. That’s 4.6 attempts per game! Knock it off, Giannis.

The Bucks need to let someone else create offense for Giannis

I'm a Giannis fan, but that's a pretty damning sentence to write about a $50M/year player.

They just need to stop trying to make him LeBron…let him be AD

Split, are you going to go to any conference finals games if it's Suns-Jazz? I'm going to be in Park City the week of the 21st and may try and catch one if it works out.

Ya I want to..it depends on when the games are…I am going out of town I think the 28th, but there should be games before then, right? I’m not sure what the schedule would be.

Second Round (Non Suns) Playoff Games

Post by Superbone »

We’re rooting for the Clippers tonight, right? Hopefully gives us more time to rest up for the next series. (Not easy with a Morris on the Clips.)
Wormwood/Superbone 2019/2020 season bet: Suns win < 30 games, Wormwood wins, else 'Bone wins. 1 month avatar shame starting July 1st of winner's choosing. ACCOMPLISHED! 34 wins in a shortened season! Like it mattered. We rarely see Wormwood anyway!

Yeah. I want the Clips to take this to 7, and the Suns to finish out in 4. Give Paul's shoulder time to be 100% healthy, along with the rest of the team. I want the Jazz or Clips to be beat up and tired coming in to the series with us.

FYSA: Serge Ibaka is out for the rest of the season. If we draw the Clips, I think they're a lot more beatable without him. Still, I think the Suns are built better to beat the Jazz: our mid-range game is something they just don't handle well. Whereas, or perimeter defenders are pretty elite, and you don't have to guard Gobert outside of 10 feet, nor does he really pick up assists. This is really going to free Ayton up to be a rim protector, and help on the perimeter (where he's surprisingly good for a center).

Impressive defensive effort by the Clippers.

Running a blitz on Mitchell where he could see the double coming and even sometimes be one pass away. I thought Jazz ball rotation out of that would keep leading to good looks at 3

Clippers had enough length n speed in their small lineup to be swarming and recovering well. Interesting game that was

WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS ON ESPN

June 20*, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, July 2 if both UTA-LAC and PHX-DEN series end in 6 or fewer games
June 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, July 2, 4 if either UTA-LAC or PHX-DEN series ends in 7 games
Additional scheduling information will be provided as soon as possible consistent with the need to fulfill league obligations.

* – A possible Western Conference Finals Game 1 on June 20 would be televised by ABC

https://www.nba.com/news/2021-nba-playo ... s-schedule
So we only get the 9 days of rest if the Utah-LA series goes 7 games. Otherwise, it's about 7 days (if we sweep).

How about going to the NBA Finals for the first time in 28 years by winning a game 7 on the 4th of July, though?!

Uh, oh. Mitchell left the game hobbled.
