I haven't felt this good about the Suns winning a championship since were were up 3-1 against the Rockets in 1995...but that didn't turn out so well, so we'll have to see haha.

Suns just beat them into quitting but TNT saying the Nugs quit on their own. Not buying it
Still nobody giving the Suns credit.

That is so AWESOME, Indy!

Who thinks that the Rubio Oubre trade or CP3, was a bad trade for the Suns?

Damn, James Jones just doesn't have a clue.

Apologies, off topic. I'm just giddy because things are going so smooth for the Suns we don't have to discuss dirty plays, opponents trying to deliberately hurt us, refs that screwed CP3 in 11 straight playoff games and other douchebaggery :D

A few thoughts.

I loved the big win. What a team, what a season! I especially like the balance to our offense; we aren't playing hero-ball or relying on Booker to score 30+ a game. And it is so great to see that Chris Paul looks closer to 100%. That's huge. Paul had a masterful game, with 18 points, 15 assists, and 0 turnovers.

I also thought Saric had a really nice game. 8 points, 4 boards, hit some timely shots, made some nice passes. Played sort of passable defense on Jokic on some possessions. Overall was a net positive I thought, and that was good to see. Craig had a nice game off the bench. Cam Johnson couldn't hit his shots, but I want him to keep taking them. Ayton's continuing to do a nice job slowing down Jokic. He handled himself well avoiding fouls after those first two.

On the downside, I thought the fans, and to some degree the players, celebrated too much. I get it, it's a big win and they played great; some celebration is in order. But a series isn't over until you win 4 games out of 7. Get out of here with this "Suns in Four" chant. That can only fire up the enemy. Denver is still a very good team and they aren't just going to hand it to us.

Similarly, I really didn't like all of Crowder's tough talk and pushing and shoving. You're going at it with Aaron Gordon? Really? I just don't see any reason to be a tough guy in that situation. Gordon gently pushed Crowder on defense and Jae acted like he wanted to throw down. Settle down, fella. Ditto to Cam Payne, who brings great intensity but often seems out of control to me. He's going to get into a fight or get himself kicked out of a game.

For Denver, I thought Will Barton was great for them in limited minutes. He's just what they need. I was scared he'd be the difference and get them a win tonight. Lucky for us they kept his minutes down. Once Denver gets him and Murray back they're going to be absolutely terrifying.

Mike Malone's post-game press comments are perplexing. He's letting his team have it. I guess he thinks that will motivate them? But he runs the risk of alienating his players. I think it could backfire. I don't think Denver's problem was a lack of effort. They just missed their shots, and they're relying on a lot of guys who need to hit their shots to be effective.

I don't recall anyone here saying it was a bad trade.

I'm not as concerned about fan chants. That's what fans do. If the Nuggets need a fan chant to wake them up in the playoffs, that says a lot about them.

I do wonder if there's a lineup change coming. Campazzo is a non factor out there but they don't have a lot of other options. Start Morris? Start Barton on a minutes restriction? Do they sit MPJ to help tighten up the defense even tho he's one of their few offensive threats?

The Nuggets aren't hitting their 3s but I also think it's BS that we're aren't getting much credit for the defense. Reggie was praising our defense during the game, but then postgame the TNT crew just blew us off and said it was the Nuggets who gave up; they gave up because of our defense. We can't expect the Nuggets to keep shooting so poorly, I just think we can withstand it. And Jokic isn't a guy who can do it alone like other stars.

I do feel for the Nuggets because the Murray injury was devastating to them and they look like they've hit the wall now. While I think we'd still beat them with Murray, it'd be a much more balanced matchup. We saw how we were without Paul and it wasn't fun.

Also regarding Crowder, he's physical but from what I saw Gordon gave him a shot first and Jae just stood his ground. Gordon was the one fired up, calling the team out and looking to make a statement. Then on the next play after the double techs he barreled down the lane into Crowder and picked up the offensive foul.

Well staying Offline and getting home to watch the game at 2am isn't going bad at all. As Indy told me lol, the awful truth is I don't have any control over the outcome so choose the method of watching that gives me peace of mind.
So coming home n putting on my Suns gear to watch the play back is it right now  :)

Either way POLLY in control of all the good Karma ☺️

Just another great game to watch. First half wasn't the prettiest by any indication but maybe Dario stood out as seeing him making plays again was cool. Nuggets cold shooting is a bit of a surprise but I said it pregame and others also seem to agree that their bigger issue is defending us so to be continued

I had no prob with Jae. Gordon called out his team for playing soft n scared, had a couple bully ball plays in the 1st half and in his frustration gave Jae a lil forearm get off me push and Jae simply let him know looking to get us back down by being physical ain't gonna work

Likewise, I don't worry about Cam P getting ejected either. That kid's passion is a big part of why he plays how he does and I've seen his interviews after what he felt was poor play or poor decision the "Lakers joke of an ejection". Every time he speaks it's clear that he doesn't wanna let the team down so I can't see him going overboard to point of ejection. I call him The Spark Plug not just because of the buckets but the emotional lift he gives the majority of the time, he'll be fine man

As for my Avatar Bros, lots of good from Mikal but he sure missed some wide open looks that in the moment had me fairly bothered lol. Same for Cam....

Both their D was very solid but again although Mikal took some nice pull ups and got to the line a couple times, he still drove looking to pass some other times. Looking to avoid contact from Joker, I think Campazzo another time, no shot blocking to be concerned with.

Cam was guilty of this and it was a bit of a Bummer as no breaking news that I like to see him do well. Quicker first step that ppl realize and he just has to trust his athleticism more, he should have tried to dunk at least 3 of those that he missed, 2 of which were blocked. Most likely he would have been fouled but we'll see how things go in Denver

Another thing about Payne - there have been a few plays, specifically in PnR situations where he's slipping that pass thru to the roll man that you can tell he's picked up from Paul. Some of those little things he's soaking up and putting to use.

His energy and enthusiasm is great off the bench, but I've also started wondering if it's too much for him to become a starter be it here or somewhere else. He'd have to calm down and adjust his pace and energy/emotions a bit to be a fulltime starter. Just something to think about heading into the offseason if a team were to make him a big offer.

This post is just about all you need to know regarding the Suns play right now.
Indy's post are usually very measured lol, (cautiously optimistic or pleasantly surprised or simply content). So some over the top giddy with excitement is great to see 8-) :D

Agreed on Starter vs Bench role especially for a point guard
I believe it will come with maturity and dare I say more tutilage from CP3.
He will definitely have to learn to pick his spots better and more manage the team. I think it's clear right now that he probably doesn't manipulate the whole play book as to what sets to go to getting certain players looks or what not.
His role is high PnR create for yourself or make the right read when defense trying to help n recover and he's doing his thing. If not just get the ball to Book or CP3 and spot up. So yes being more than a Spark Plug is probably the next part of his growth and I'm sure Monty/CP3 gonna try help him get to that level
