The Kings are being boat raced by the Grizzlies without Ja Morant. Will Alvin Gentry make it to January?

Kings need to throw a bunch of cash at Kenny Atkinson.

I heard someone suggest that on a podcast recently. Atkinson is a good coach, but a lot of their problems are above the role of a head coach. I think their GM is probably fine, but don't think he has a ton of credibility among players across the league. I think he'd have a hard time attracting a highly sought after coach.

Gentry has always been a solid offensive coach but can't create credible defense... They are missing both Barnes and Holmes so I guess I'd give him a pass for the last few games. At least they did embarrass the Lakers. Also read that he got a pay bump to be interim head coach and I wonder if Ranadive would be willing to add even more payroll.

It’s pretty impressive how well the Warriors are playing with that roster. It’ll be even scarier when they get Thompson back. I’m looking forward to Tuesday’s game.

They’ve played much better since Gentry took over and were very short handed tonight. Alex Len is starting for them for example.

Fair enough. I didn’t think much about the context. I just had the game on in the background while doing some work and took note of their miserable performance.

I see people on Twitter bashing Alvin Gentry, but, like, how many games SHOULD the Kings be winning with that roster? They're bad. Fire the GM if you want to make things better.

They already got rid of Vlad. This is the new GM's second season I think? They got their hands tied a little with this Fox situation, and they drafted 2 guards that need the ball in their hands 2 years in a row. I mean, Haliburton was great, but if they want to commit to him and Off Night, they need to convert Fox's massive contract into something useful. Like ... Simmons maybe?

I honestly was pulling for them 2nd half of last season and obviously wanted them to beat Lakers in the Play-In. I will always tend to pull for underdogs as they were last year. I find similarities with them and us, always high assists and unselfish play plus able to defend may I dare say playing the right way
