A brick fest all around. We are missing Cam J’s shooting. Would like to see us try and get it inside to Ayton more

Nobody can make an open three today. Leaving 3-4 assists on the table for CP3. Love the defense on Sabonis so far, McGee doing great.

Brutal half so far. Can’t believe I saw DA make a 3 in real life.
Pacers have a way of dragging teams down to their level.
Smith and Shamet look ill prepared

Crowder also missing a lot and taking some low quality shots
Re: Game Day: Suns (31-9) @ Pacers (15-27), Fri 1/14/22
Feels like a game where we fool around and then put them away in the 4th. Hopefully we come out hot in the 3Q

Why is Book passing up a wide open 3 there
Re: Game Day: Suns (31-9) @ Pacers (15-27), Fri 1/14/22
CP3 rip through in the bonus, like clock work
Re: Game Day: Suns (31-9) @ Pacers (15-27), Fri 1/14/22
Nice finish to the half! DA having himself a game, best I’ve seen his shot look in awhile.

Good closeout to the half.
Ayton - 21 points, 9 rebounds
Crowder, Shamet and Bridges are shooting a combined 0 for 13.

Ugly shooting but DA dominating with 21 and 9. One of those games where it feels like we should be up more. Need the shots to start falling. Stix with 9 boards and a nice block at the half.

The Pacers have good length and play fairly aggressively on defense, and have Turner to clean up mistakes. When they scramble the result is either spectacularly good or spectacularly bad. Our centers have been left wide open in the lane four or five times, and that completely unimpeded strolled to the paint for CP15 as well. On the other hand they run out hard at open shooters and guys like Crowder and Stix who aren’t used to making something happen off the dribble have been caught in unfamiliar positions. The Bobster wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:11 pmGood closeout to the half.

I’ve been patient with Shamet but these wide open misses are getting to me. I’m gonna chalk it up to COVID and give him a couple more games.

I like what I’m seeing from Stix this game. He’s playing a role and giving us size and rebounding on defense, allowing the team to make switches with the center without worrying about a massive mismatch in the paint. Otoh he’s a bit invisible on offense because besides catching and shooting he doesn’t have much else going on on that end when he’s not the 5. Not doing much cutting or getting involved in pick and roll/pop action.
I love his rebounding activity. I do worry that he’s a bit of a rhythm player on offense and cannot really be effective in spot minutes at the 4 which will be his role when Cam comes back.

Missed the start of the half and just noticing Crowder isn’t out there..did he pick up a quick foul or did Jalen start the half?
Re: Game Day: Suns (31-9) @ Pacers (15-27), Fri 1/14/22
23 a piece for Book and Ayton, nobody else has more than 4. Need someone else to step up and this game will be over.
