What's your problem, bro?!Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 9:29 amOops, should've checked here before posting the Baynes story in another thread.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Wow, that's a crazy story on Baynes. First I've heard of it. Hope he gets better soon.
Re: Suns News: Week 15 (1/24 to 1/30)
First any of us heard about it I think. Crazy story. I hope he makes it back to the NBA at some point. He’s 35 so he’s getting up there anyway.

Gist of it is that Baynes slipped and fell in the layup line a while back during Olympic play, and he conked his head. This led to a later fall that caused further damage. He ends up with internal bleeding and pressure on his spine and starts losing the ability to move his limbs. Can't walk, can't hardly move, intense pain. Ends up stuck in a Japanese hospital where he can't communicate with anybody and everyone is under COVID lockdown. (Favorite part of the article: two of his teammates pose as doctors so they can sneak in and see him in the hospital. LMAO) After much toil, he manages to get back to Australia, though they have to stretcher him and anesthetize him to do it safely. Months of intense physical therapy and finally he's back to the point where he can walk and even jog a little bit. He's trying to rehab to the point where he could go back to the NBA next year.
Pretty wild story and a sad tale of how an injury can just completely turn somebody's life upside down. Rooting for Baynes to make his way back.

Cam is so good…I’m really curious what he’s gonna get paid this offseason. I hope we don’t cheap out on him.
Re: Suns News: Week 15 (1/24 to 1/30)
I have a feeling he will be the starting PF at some point playing along side his twin.
Re: Suns News: Week 15 (1/24 to 1/30)
For sure, would be nice to have a Booker/Bridges/Johnson/Ayton core for the next 7-10 years. Just need to add a Paul replacement at some point…unless he’s gonna pull a Tom Brady and retire at 44

He just needs to work on that half court shot.bajanguy008 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 9:14 amGuuuuyyyss !!

I heard him say the other day on NBA TV that his favorite shot is the left corner three so that tracks.
And one other thing, BG. You can't have Cam to yourself! You gotta share him.

Regarding Book and Paul on the all-star team. There's no question they'll be reserves, right? And Monty will be coach. I have two competing thoughts about this. One is that Monty plays his guys the majority of the time and in "big" moments. The other is that he hardly plays them and he runs Curry and Wiggins into the ground.

They’re all in for sure…1 more win guarantees it for Monty and the staff. Nothing confirmed for the reserves but it would be a major major surprise if Paul and Book are not there.Superbone wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 1:18 pmRegarding Book and Paul on the all-star team. As for coaching, Monty will coach the LeBron team, no guarantee who else will be on it though. He might be coaching against Book and CP3

There was a year when one of the coaches hardly played his guys, maybe Popovich as that would sound about right but I can't be certainSuperbone wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 1:18 pmRegarding Book and Paul on the all-star team.
