Not that any of us did so, but remember at the beginning of the season when many national pundits were predicting a Lakers-Nets championship?

Update since we had a couple series completions. BK in the lead so far thanks to his picking the number of games right for the Heat.
Please feel free to come up with your own "stop the count"-related joke, if you'd like.

Especially given the fact that it's almost certainly the only first round series that I'll end up hitting on. Not holding out much hope for the Jazz and Raptors, especially.

They cover themselves by saying *if healthy* or something similar.

Same. And honestly I expected the Celtics to fall back to earth in the playoffs, not take another leap. So I will come in near (if not at) the bottom.

Looks like I've got that covered so far.

nit: Your far-left "actual" column should have "Warriors in 5" and "Bucks in 5" in it.

it does just not in that picture. I started to code automated scoring into the spreadsheet based on those columns and then my excel crashed and I didn't get around to posting a new picture last night. I will get it fixed after tonight's games.

Nobody guessed all 8 first-round series correctly, but several of us had 7. I'm bad at guessing number-of-games; only got one right. Wally_West guessed 4 of the series exactly right (!); that's pretty impressive. I love that literally 100% of us picked the Jazz to win their series. Not a single vote for the poor Mavs! I hope the team doesn't similarly underestimate their upcoming opponent.

Doncic recovered quicker than I expected, for one thing.

I thought Dallas was in trouble when Doncic was slated to miss some games.

The outcome of that series says more about Utah than it did about the Mavs ...

Ya the Doncic injury scared us all. I had no faith in the Jazz, but figured Luka wouldn’t play much or be healthy when he did. I would’ve probably picked Mavs in 5 if Luka was healthy.

We all picked pretty similar stuff. The suns picks make sense. No one picked Boston to beat Milwaukee…though there was a Brooklyn over Milwaukee. And all but one picked a Suns-Bucks rematch.

I regret my Milwaukee over Boston pick a bit as I think Boston wins that now. Milwaukee was the healthier team, but that’s flipped.

Only series that really have dissenting opinions is Miami-Philly and Golden State-Memphis. Even then, most still went GS and Miami.

You can't predict injuries. I wouldn't have picked the Bucks to go to the Finals if somebody had told me that Middleton would go down.

That regular season game at the end of the year against the Jazz told me all I needed to know. The Jazz weren't getting out of the first round this year. I'd honestly rather face the Mavs or Jazz over the Pelicans.

Pretty sure this is the final update since none of us picked Heat/Celts or Suns. Congrats to Wally as the clear leader, picking 6 of the series exactly right down to the number of games. He beat me as bad as Luka beat us yesterday!
