Playoffs Round 1, Game 6: Phoenix Suns (3-2) @ New Orleans Pelicans, Thurs 04/28/22

Post by bajanguy008 »

Time: 4:30 pm AZ (4:30 pm PT/7:30 pm ET)
Place: Smoothie King Center, New Orleans, LA
TV: TNT

Ok Suns fam', little earlier start than usual but hopefully that still allows for another active thread with most of us watching Live. Obviously the potential "Return of Book" is the hot topic and it might be a little smoke and mirrors from the Suns. Last report says Book will test in pregame before making a decision so Pelicans who surely have been primarily focused on how to make CP3 uncomfortable. They might have to throw away that game plan or at least spend time at Shoot Around discussing if Book plays. We saw couple flashes from the bench guys but the biggest change was the defensive intensity and overall physicality and I believe once we match their desperation we can close this out.

Go Suns !!

We have no "others" here; you are all max players to me. As long as the salary Cap is okay with it :-)

I gotta admit, I cringed when the crowd started chanting this at the end of Game 5 and I DID NOT join in. Having said that, I'm feeling a lot better about our team and sure hope we can finish them off tonight. I don't want to leave it to a game 7 where anything could happen.

I just hope Book/CP3 don't do that pompous "put the baby to sleep" pose like Curry did at the end of the game. Seriously, F that noise.

Yup, I think he sullies his greatness with all that BS. It's obnoxious and not charming in any way.

I don't mind when he does purely celebratory stuff, like pumping his fist, high-fiving or chest-bumping teammates, etc. after a big shot or play. But stuff that is taunting the opponent is over the line.

Of course not. That's normal. It's all the shimmering and dancing and rock the baby to sleep crap.

Suns are -2.5 point favorites tonight without the news of Booker playing tonight. I wonder how that'll impact the odds if news comes out he is playing?
