Time: 7:00 pm AZ (7:00 pm PT/10:00 pm ET)
Place: Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: BSAZ, ESPN

It's our first taste of Avocado tonight in game 2 of our 6 game home stand. It is also our first meeting since our tough six game series in round one of last season's playoffs. However, the Pelicans are already banged up and will be missing some key players like Brandon Ingram. Zion is questionable but could possibly return tonight after a one game absence.

Gran Theft Alvarado is questionable tonight. Kind of hope he doesn't play. The injury potential to CP when he does is high.

The Pelicans are scary good. Really the only thing holding them back has been their devastating injuries to stars like Zion and Ingram. It's telling that even without both of those two, they're still winning most of their games. What a deep and talented team. Bravo to them; it was only a year or two ago that people were looking at them as meandering and rudderless. I personally think they're due to regress to the mean a bit if Ingram and Zion are going to be out like this. But we'll see. They're kind of a bad matchup for us, as we saw in last year's playoffs, due to being so big and strong and athletic. We seem to have trouble with bully-ball teams who can outmuscle us and make the game dirty. I'll be watching the center matchup; Valanciunas is having a really strong season so far averaging 17.8 ppg and 11.4 rpg; Ayton tends to struggle against bigger massive centers with long arms. I hope Ayton plays up to the challenge.

I'm hoping to see Ayton box out Valanciunas for rebounds. I'll be watching that closely. Could be the difference between winning and losing.

It's 4 games in, there really is no reason to rush your franchise player back.

Would’ve been nice to see how we match up against Zion. Pels are still loaded though

So no Zion, no Ingram, or Herb Jones. But McCollum will play.

Pelicans play hard. This is gonna be tough. They beat the Mavericks without Zion and Ingram. Suns can't take them lightly.

Awful first Q considering the 10-3 start. Pea would outscore us 24-11 from then on.

Shaky quarter after another good start. The Pels just play hard and it feels like we've missed every jumper we've taken. The shots will start falling, just gotta keep matching their energy.

Hope you saw all those beautiful box-outs. ;) I don't know if he will be returning after that ankle injury, though. Dirty play by Jonas--should have been a flagrant...what happened to calling that?
