I figured since there are 30+ pages in both Draft threads that this would be easier.

If it is #14 I guess it means that Stauskas is gone. I actually want them both, but if Stauskas is not possible and nothing weird happens, I am happy with him as our first pick. If true, this has Hornacek written all over him.

I also hope Nurkic falls to #18.

I don't know that Nurkic has to fall to be available at 18.

Cool. I've seen him as high as #12 though.

Rumor on another Suns board is...

We're trading Gerald Green and 27 for Ryan Anderson. Apparently it comes from a Pelicans insider that predicted the Asik deal.

My first reaction is that I do not like it.

I get it tho, Channing is a gonner and Anderson is instantly our best rebounder. He's a homeless mans KLove lol.

I'm not sure why 27 would be necessary though.

I kind of get it. Anderson would replace Frye and myabe the Suns feel he'd be cheaper in the long run at 17mil over the next two years as opposed to a deal Frye would want.

One thing is that he had neck surgery in April to repair a herniated cervical disc. That stuff always scares me.

Green is someone replaceable. I like him, but if we get our guys with the other two picks we're fine.

INF wouldn't agree.

If Frye is a gonner we need the stretch forward covered. Anderson is younger and better than him without doubt. When healthy, that's it. Also much more expensive, but still as good at his role as it gets.

I'd rather keep Frye, Green and the pick, but if one domino falls, you need to react. Green was amazing last year but Anderson doesn't just shoot. This season he was a very prolific offensive rebounder too.

it really shouldn't be, Anderson missed all year last year and Green broke out, oh well.. wont get upset til its a reality

We'd want to be very sure Anderson was over his injury. But if fit he's a terrific rebounder and 3 point threat and an upgrade on Frye in the same style. I kinda get it as well but am uncomfortable sending them the pick.

I'd push to keep the pick but if it came down to it I'd still pull the trigger. Anderson is no joke of role player. Ask Dwight Howard.

Yeah I don't really understand why we would give up the 27th pick, but hopefully if this deal is true there is more too it than just that. Maybe we got a future first round pick or something.

That would help and make more sense to me.

I'm reading that the pick could be one of the other two. If that's the case, deal should be off, given Anderson's injury.

By the way, I think GG doesn't play nearly as well for them as he did for the Suns. Our system is very different from having Holiday, Reke, Evand on top of Davis.

WTF really? I was hoping it was like our 2nd rounder. I can live with the 27th pick but giving up the one of the others is crazy.

If it's 14 or 18 no deal for me.
